I Hate Mafia II!!

Hi everyone, its been a while, but I *hate* Mafia II. I love everything about it, except the fact that every time you finish an easy or simple mission, you end up with a bunch of powerful weapons, and on the next mission, without fail, somebody takes every single weapon you've received (for one of a dozen different reason, no spoilers) and leave you with nothing, and *seconds* later your forced to fight through 5 floors of baddies!

And, does anybody ever give you anything back that was yours in the first place? Nope. I'm about ready to mafia somebody.

because if they gave you all the guns it would make the game real easy? like laughably easy? half life does the same thing but all i hear are good reviews of it.

You end up with the same weapons by the second round of baddies anyway, why take them from me if I get them back? Or, why give them to be if your going to take them. Every chapter involves losing your powerful weapons, receiving a 38 magnum, shooting a room of baddies, and picking up different powerful weapons. In this economy I thought we were getting rid of the middleman

And on a more serious and less sexist note: If they just let you have every gun in the game you'd rip through it in seconds. Scott Pilgrim's got really boring ever since I maxed out Scott's damage, so I needed to change to Steve.

Fair enough. I won't deny that the game pulls this more than a few times.

...though there are a number of ways to attain weapons again, no? Be it your allies providing you with them,[footnote]and I've never run into a situation that required one and they didn't supply me accordingly - even if it was the standard 1911[/footnote] or even scavenging them off of enemies, you're pretty much guaranteed to have at least one gun on you at all times.

Again, fair point, but by the time when that actually becomes an issue, you're absolutely swimming in money, to the point where it's no inconvenience to go buy another weapon. And again, that's really if you even need it.
