I have 1, PS3

So I finally got myself a newer generation console. The PS3. With it I got Fallout New Vegas and my girlfriend picked Bayonetta. Future games will be Little Big Planet 2 and Portal 2 (so I can have the second copy on PC) and possibly Dead Space 2. I need some ideas though. Anyone got any thoughts on games for PS3 to try?

Killzone 3 when it comes out if you like shooters. Metal Gear Solid 4. Infamous. Uncharted series (although I personally aren't too fond of them, but others are. Then non-exclusives would be Mass Effect 2, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 (better than CoD), Ninja Gaiden Sigma series (imho better than Bayonetta).

If you have any interest in tactical strategy games, Valkyria Chronicles. Also, Uncharted 2 is every fun adventure movie ever made rolled into a game.

Modnation Racers, it's similar to LBP except it's racing instead of platforming (Though LBP2 isn't exactly platforming anymore.)

 

[Soviet Heavy]

Anything from Insomniac. Ratchet and Clank, or the Resistance Games are solid buys.

Another one is Killzone 2. Not the best controls, but a really fun singleplayer campaign.

Obligatory "This" comment: Also gotta try Heavy Rain as a rental. Valkyria Chronicles, and MGS4 is nice, and Uncharted is a must.

No one mentioned god of war yet? I'm appauled!! Definitely that one. And if you need cross platform, I guess ME2 and brütal legends are the ones off the top of my head.

Unpick Bayonetta, yes it's awesome - my girlfriend likes it too - but it's horrible on the PS3.

The usual subjects are MGS4, LBP2, Deamons souls, Uncharted, Rachet and Clank, heavy rain, motor storm, Kill zone and Resistance.

AKA every exclusive out there for the PS3.
