I just got a PS3

Well as the title says I just came into posession of a new PS3, I bought UT3 with it and I wanted to know if you had any recomendations and the like,preemptive thanks for your contributions.

While I don't have a PS3, I've heard good things about Folklore, Resistance, MGS4, The Orange Box, GTA4 and COD4.

I have no intention to buy a PS3 or 360. I have a Wii And that was mainly for Fire Emblem.
I hear UT3 for PS3 is really bad. I wouldn't know I have a Gaming PC/ Programing Machine/ Web Design PC.

If you like action games get dmc4 the gameplay is amazing.

If you like third person shooters then try uncharted. actually I think uncharted is the game of 2007 for the ps3 in ign and other sites.

for first person shooters. cod and bioshock coming soon. resistance although not the best shooter on the console it is still nice and probably worth playing since resistance 2 is on its way.

If your a huge massive soccer fanatic then get pes2008 nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow!

A few games to consider getting would have to be Call of Duty 4, Grand Theft Auto 4, Metal Gear Solid 4, and Uncharted.

CoD4 is excellent and the Online play really tops it off
GTAIV...words can't explain
MGS4, brilliant stealth action game with excellent story line
Uncharted for a great 3rd Person shooter

You poor poor thing.

For my pity I recommend:
-Orange Box
-GTA4
-COD4
-And Bioshock when it comes out.

Avoid Ressistance. It's very overhyped and I found it boring and clanky.

I'm gonna get bashed for this but guys I've played the 360 version of CoD4 and I think its over appreciated along with Halo 3. Then again I've always played stuff like Counter Strike and the Unreal games. Maybe I'm just missing part of the game experiance?

If you want to play fps with a real friend get Recistance. If you like to play fps online get CoD 4

Most of these games have demos on the PS Store, so it'd be a good idea to try them out first.

Motorstorm is pretty good. Lacks splitscreen, but the core racing is brilliant.
Burnout Paradise is also good, although the open world design is a bit polarising. The crashes are second to none.
Super Stardust HD or Everyday Shooter, if you're into the Asteroids style of gameplay.
Warhawk is great, but online only.
Ratchet and Clank is damn good, but lacks the online modes from earlier R&C's
Try getting a few mods for UT3 as well, it really extended the lifespan on that game for me.

How about u and another friend who also owns a ps3, link up ur ps3's, travel into the future and get god of war 3 and black 2, then travel back to present.
Those 2 games gonna kick ass, especially god of war 3, KRATOS FTW!

EDIT: While ur in the future, get all nfs games that had come out at the time.
EDIT EDIT: And Assassins Creed 2 while ur there.

Pre-order LittleBig Planet, then go search for gameplay videos for it on YouTube; I have a 360, into shoot 'em ups and yet am still pumped for LBP, despite it being a Sony exclusive.
