From what I gathered there isn't a point. It is just a rant. A one sentence rant.

I'm looking forward to District 9. And Batman Arkham Asylum comes out this month. This is the best august since 2007 when Bioshock came out.

Because otherwise I wouldn't be looking forward to the stuff coming out in October and November.
Because, obviously, the universe revolves around me.

It was like that about five years ago.

That movie is actually taking an idea that was in the Simpson's, then again on The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy.

Oh for frig sake! This is the first I've seen of this particular burnt out sequel. The first one was...different at least. Not sequel-worthy at all, though. Why am I so annoyed?

Well, I was going to say that not all those movies are so bad, but I can't.

The ad for aliens the attack make me not want to see and smack any of my friends that does

Hey well, Batman: Arkham Asylum's coming out in August so just hold on there with your sweeping judgements, fella.

Actually, I kinda have to agree - but that's kinda what summer's about. Blockbuster movies that pander to kids and teenagers who're on holiday from school. It happens every year, but it's always slightly different because society changes in between summers.

Oh my gosh I laughed SO hard when the girl was about to be killed in the carwash... by a freaking BRUSH. That has to be the dumbest way to die I've ever heard. That or the girl getting killed by a pebble flying out a lawnmower.

Maybe they just didn't make many good movies in a period which would cause them to release them in August? Meh. I won't see them anyway, so they don't effect me at all. Metal Gear August on the other hand...

Although, I can't help but wonder why the bad guys in the G.I. Joe movie use weird corroding missile things, why not just nuke the shit out of them? Fear factor? I would have thought that the problem of there being someone with the power to... Well. Nuke the shit out of them would be scary enough.

Sure, there's the effect that nukes would have on the whole world, but we already know Cinema doesn't care about that.

I dont know if you knew this but Final Destination (the one that started this franchise of movies), was released in 2000, and it has the exact same plot as this one, so the idea wasnt taken from The Simpsons rather the other way around.

Well hopefully Inglorious Bastards will be decent. Only movie I plan on seeing in theaters for awhile. I generally like Tarantino's movies, and coupled with a World War II setting it could be extremely awesome. Or complete crap. My only real reservation is that it has Brad Pitt in it.

I'm going to have to second the people who cited Section 9 [Which i'm excited about, and which at least has the potential to be good] and Batman: Arkham Asylum [which had better be good or else someone is going to find me on their doorstep with the batarang which came with the game].
