Anyone here find that Brad Pitt isn't due his credit? He's become this Brangelina 'thing' for the media and isn't getting known for his craft, dispite having some amazing work under him.

I mean, look at these films;

Fight Club
Snatch
The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Seven
Interview with a Vampire
12 Monkeys
The Assassination of Jesse James
Troy... OK, forget that one.

Does anyone understand how incredible these movies are? Or am the only Brad fan?

I think he's pretty good, although the only relatively recent movie I saw with him being good was Inglorious Bastards.

I think he's great. Loved him in Ocean's Eleven. I don't really follow the whole "Brangelina" thing, though. If celebrities want to date each other, that's their own damn business. I don't need to hear about it on the evening news, thanks.

uh, you forgot Interview with a Vampire, Legends of the Fall. Is he good? yes, I would think so, but there is something about him that I can't put him in the same category as Denzel Washington, Tom Hanks, Jack Nicholson, etc. yet.

Your not the only one OP. I actually quiet like him, particularly because he's Snatch, Oceans 11 and 12 Monkeys, three of my favorite movies.
I don't really give a damn what he does off the big screen, as long as he keeps playing such creative charachters on on the big screen.

I don't dislike him, but I don't really think he's anything special.

He's a very good actor, yes. Everyone knows that, he's done almost as good of a job of not being labeled a pretty boy as Johnny Depp has.

They made a sequel? Didn't he
die at the end?

I think you mean "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford". Another fine performance.

D'oh! *edits*

I'm quite suprised how many people here enjoy his work. I know a lot of people who haven't seen Ben Button because it 'looks too weird' or The Assassination of Jesse James because 'it's a western...' Talk about missing out.

I like him. I mean, he's an oka actor. bu its getting ot be like leonardo decapri (or however you spell his name). He's in a lot of movies, that get alot of hype, and that hype never lets the movie live up to it, and the actor looks bad.

besides, you should never judge somene by big name movies. Judge my Indie films, then you will know if they are good or not.

He's a good character actor who looks like a movie star. He is better when he is doing the character stuff, not so good when doing the "movie star" stuff.

EDIT: He's no Warren Oates though, but then again, who is?

You're not the only one, I'm definitely a fan of Pitt. He's made several movies that I love (including my personal favorite, Fight Club), and he seems like a cool dude in real life, rather down to earth despite his fame.

I actually really like leonardo di caprio, and i disagree with your description of both of these actors. I feel they are both really underrated and they are actually not in a lot of films. I think they both chose there projects really well. What hyped up movies has leonardo been in besides maybe Inception (which I think was amazing)

He's actually a very good actor, despite the whole media thing. Tom Cruise's early stuff is good, but he seems to just run around and shouting a little these days. And he's a scientologist.

Everybod thinks that movie was amazing. i didnt, but thats probably just me. BUt oka, he was shutter island not to long before Inception came out, and that was a bust.
