Remember that time when new games came out that weren't the same shit every year with a new coat of paint? Remember when J-RPGs were actually good and thriving? Remember when an obscure game came out, like Mr. Mosquito Man, it was unique and it didn't have the horrible Hipsteresque "Indie" title attached to it, it was unique and some Swedish guy didn't take it, beat it with a stick, screamed and cursed at it and got payed millions for sitting on his ass and amusing 12-year-olds? Remember, Okami? Remember, Shadow of Collosus? Remember, Ratchet and Clank? Remember Sly? Remember San Andreas? Remember Jampack? Remember when Gamers weren't that pathetic? Remember no DLC? Remember Expansion Packs? Remember when only bizarre, weirdos used the internet and not for console gaming, and if they did, it was tolerable? Remember when Assassin's Creed didn't exist? Remember Dark Cloud? Remember Deus Ex? Remember Half-Life 2? Remember innovation? Remember when Indie games weren't beaten to death by let's players? Remember no Let's Players? Remember when IGN was tolerable? Remember Greg Kasavin? Remember old Gamespot? I do, because I'm a god. And you're Gods, too....to a lesser extent.
