I'm looking to watch a movie. Any good movie will do, looking for one I haven't seen yet. I'm not all that fussy so just recommend whatever, purely spit balling. The most recent movies I've watched are A Clockwork Orange, Apocalypse Now, District 9, Snatch, Gangs of New York.

Stalker (russian flick about apocalyptic wastelands), Kiss Kiss Bang Bang (noir Comedy), Fear and loathing in Las Vegas (Satire), Dazed and Confused(historical drama), Seven Samurai (************!).

Those are all considered good in their respective circles.
Stalker though, you gotta understand that it's purposefully slow.

John Carpenter's 'The Thing'
If you haven't watched then it is truly necessary viewing. Plus it isn't anywhere near as heavy as Clockwork or Apocalypse Now, nor is it as incredibly long.

If you haven't seen Watchmen (somehow) then stop whatever you're doing, run to the nearest copy, and jam it in the first DVD or BluRay player you can find. It will blow your mind.

Or, if you're in the mood for something really out of the ordinary, you could check out one of my friend Tristan Newcomb's films. They're surreal absurdist explorations of existentialism (with Puppets!), and there's no way you've seen anything like them before. You probably won't find them in any local stores, but I know you can download them on Amazon.com or from his website. I would suggest Only Interstellar Pinball Lives Forever, but Summer of the Chew Toy Soul is awesome too.

I watched I Love You Philip Morris the other day and thought it was really good, I also watched The Devil's Backbone, which was made the guy who made Pan's Labyrinth. It isn't quite as good (but then what is?), but is still a very good film. Another good film i watched was Moon, which started out well but tailed off a little, but was still worthy of a recommendation. I'd also recommend [rec] if you want a good horror and Brazil if you want just a generally great film.

The Prestige. 2006.

Hugh Jackman and Christian Bale play two stage magicians in victorian England, whose friendly rivalry gradually escalates to the point where they will stop at absolutely nothing to upstage each other. The story is intricately but elegantly told, very much resembling a complex magic act itself, and most amazingly...

...the second time you watch The Prestige, it's not the same movie. I'm not going to spoil it for you - but I swear, watch it once and you'll see what I mean!

I've seen Rat Race(hilarious, underrated) and Iron Man(a little overrated, but I'm biased against super hero movies)

What are the others about. A very brief summary will suffice. Just need background plot and maybe major actors/actresses

This. If you have never seen this movie, watch it. It's like nothing you'll ever watch. It's simultaneously the dumbest and smartest movie I've ever seen, and I just don't know how they did it.

Also:
- The Room (For a good laugh, but be ready for several VERY gratuitous, awkward sex scenes.)
- Spirited Away
- Fight Club

This may or may not end up being a big list, obviously not knowing all the films you've watched

Taken
Reservoir Dogs
Fracture
Inception
Toy Story 3
A Scanner Darkly
Zombieland
Pulp Fiction
Pathology
Phonebooth
The Hangover
Watchmen
In Bruges
Jackass 3
Due Date
Oceans Films
Natural Born Killers
Ghostbusters
The Dark Knight
Easy A
Transformers
Cloverfield
Kung Fu Panda
and so on...

Tried to include a range of different films, ones for adults, ones considered more for children, different genres etc

Also admittedly not as long a list as I would've thought

12 Angry Men: Love this movie and always surprised how many haven't seen it. Murder trial drama with focus on the jury. Henry Fonda showing why he's a legend.

Micmacs: Honestly the reason why I was putting off watching this was because I didn't feel like reading subtitles. But I was stupid, because this was so fun and whacky. It's a Jean-Pierre Jeunet film, so if you like The City of Lost Children or Amelie (also good films, watch them) then you know what style to expect.

Who Framed Roger Rabbit?: I cannot see this movie enough.

Jaws or V for Vendetta. Both are great.
I love V for vendetta, for a monent I was like "OMG greatest movie evar!!!" however I do realise now it is a little "black and white" where as aparently the comic was a little more subtle, if I ever manage to get my hands on the comic Id like to read it but yeah good movie
