Hello, fellow Escapists. I have a problem with the Mac video editing program Final Cut Pro 7. The problem being I can't export videos as high definition and when I try to sync audio with videos the audio ALWAYS goes out of sync with the video near the half way point or the ending.

My video camera records at 1080p in MTS format files. MTS isn't compatible with Final Cut so I use Titanium Toast to convert it into a format that is compatible. The video quality remains the same at this point. Now when I go into editing, I do it all. I get the title up, I add the audio, which remains in sync while I'm editing, and then I add the closing title. I export it as a Quick Time movie but it ends up being a 480p quality video and the audio becomes out of sync towards the halfway point or the ending. I've tried just about everything and I couldn't find anything to help anywhere else on the internet.

So my question to anybody who is familiar with this program, is how can I come out with the same quality my videos went in with?
