Like the title says, I need some new RPG games. I only have the regular xbox so only those ones apply for me.

The ones I do own are KOTOR 1 and 2, Fable, Sudeki, Jade Empire, Path of Neo, Elder Scrolls: Morrowind, and Lord of the Rings: The Third Age(which I have yet to beat).

Any style of RPG, any game for that matter, interests me, as long as its good. I know that there are many threads like this, so please no flaming.(go easy on a first poster)

Dragon Age: Origins. Mass Effect. Mass Effect 2.

All excellent RPG's. Go play them. Also, get Final Fantasy XIII when it comes out March 9.

That I would be, I don't have the 360 so only original games. I'm a bit on the cheap side so the original works enough for me.

And I know the ones I listed are the main good ones, I'm just looking for more.

Keep in mind that most of the games I'll mention aren't really straight up RPGs.

I strongly suggest upgrading to Fable: The Lost Chapters if you don't have it. It's basically Fable with an impressive Expansion on the end (new spells, new locations, more weapons, more quests). xD

Phantom Dust - It's an action-RPG and strategy game in one. It's hard to describe. To quote the game box (which in turn quotes Game Informer):
"At its core, Phantom Dust is like a card game, only ramped up with incredible graphics and explosive action."
I suggest looking up YouTube videos to see how the gameplay works. It's very active and fun. It's a beautiful game as well. But the reason why I love it so much is because of the unique and interesting story.

Demon Stone - An interesting action-RPG, very Tolkien-esque. Not amazing, but solid. More action than RPG, but still fantasy based.

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance - A fun action-RPG (hack and slash). Isometric view and all sorts of stereotypical D&D action. This one supports two players. A lot of the details for this game fail me as I no longer own the Xbox version and my sister borrowed my PS2 version. xD

D&D: Heroes - Similar to BG: Dark Alliance. Personally, I preferred Dark Alliance, but Heroes is interesting as well.

I would also hazard to suggest more action (even some adventure) games.
Things that stand out for me are:
Buffy: The Vampire Slayer (the original) - It's a great action game and carries the Buffy humor really well.
Dreamfall: The Longest Journey - An adventure game (with some minor, flawed action). Great story. And a ton of fun puzzles.
Psychonauts - Watch Yahtzee's review. You will learn everything you need to know about this awesome action/adventure/platformer.

EDIT: I completely forgot about a game I used to love to play called Enclave. It's a very strange action-RPG game, but is a lot of fun. I suggest finding out more reliable info through reviews and videos.

Another EDIT: Apparently Arx Fatalis is a true RPG that managed to do well. I haven't played it myself though. xD

My recommending goes for Tales of Vesperia. It's definetly a little heavy on the 'J' before the RPG for some Escapees but the Tales series has always had great gameplay and even greater characters (except for one. Damn you Karol...)

Thanks for the game info Harding, those help alot. I have a lot of games(not as many as some) but more is always nice. If it has flawed parts, but good story, its good enough for me. Hell, that counts cause I've played and liked the story of Advent Rising even though the combat sucks horribly.

If story is your thing Phantom Dust, Psychonauts and Dreamfall deliver amazing stories (I'm a story fan myself).

Physconauts and Dreamfall were both excellent games, I would also recommend them.

Get yourself a 360. I bought a 60gb Pro console last week for $170 on ebay, so they arnt exactly "expensive" anymore. Then you can enjoy some truely great RPG's like Fallout 3, Mass Effect and Dragon Age. If your into JRPG's there is also Lost Odyssey, Tales of Vesperia and the hopefully epic FFXIII.
And Fable 2... if you're into that kind of... stuff *shudders*

Of course, you have a PC. You can get alot of good RPG's on that too, some which i mentioned above are better on PC than the 360.

Dont restrict yourself to one console, especially the original Xbox, which didnt sport many RPG's even in its glory days. But good luck with your search.

There are no real roleplaying games for xbox.
By definition, there aren't for any consoles.
Because RPGs are really... well..

I dont agree. RPG means Role Playing Game. In digital video games, you still role play, even if you dont use a board or your imagination.
Role playing in games means taking a character and influencing their development through your decisions. Therefore most video games ARE by definition RPG's or have RPG elements.
Just my 2 cents

yeah for the original xbox all of them you have or have been mentioned...id get baldurs gate dark alliance, i played that a long time ago and it was golden, so pick up that if you can

otherwise i would suggest upgrading...the 360 is cheap now and you can get tons of 360 rpg's for cheap since most of them have been out for over a year now at least, unless you are a collector person who doesn't like selling games (then by all means keep your original xbox)
