So after watching a gameplay video by "Criken", I decided to open it up and give it a go, within the first 5 minutes of jumping into the game, Getting my bearings and controls, I started hacking away, Throwing Knifes at archers, Jump Kicking Lance Fighters in the face, and dodging swing. And I said to my self, I'll definitively play this when I get home from work today, In technical terms, The Game is fast paced, Pretty fluid and controls pretty well.

Just a heads up, Milata: When you make a thread, you're suppose to give us some sort of discussion value. Bring up a question to the escapist members or ask them about their thoughts on a specific subject. Stuff like that.

I, personally, have never heard of Chivalry. Would you mind telling me what it's about? It sounds interesting. :D

It''s a great game, and this definitely isn't a review, but just go into more depth.

Chivalry's first incarnation was as a mod for Half-Life 2. Brilliant thing involving medieval combat between two opposing armies. Had various armour classes, weapons, gamemodes that included sieging a castle and death match as well as various other awesome things. It then began development as an independent game from Half-Life 2 around 2 or 3 years ago and was on Kickstarter recently. The kickstarter was successful and the game was released a couple of days ago and boy does it look bigger and better than the original. Though I probably won't be able to get it unless I find a physical copy.

Hipster Edit: It was War of the Roses before War of the Roses existed.

I kinda forgot posting this thread cause I had abit of a rush the week I "wrote" it, After playing it abit more, It can be a pretty buggy and fustrating game, However once you get a hang of it's controls and understand it's combat, and had a bunch for fun with a mate, And as an Australian Time lord (In otherwords i've mastered laggy combat in video games), Who played on american servers with his american friend, I can mention that a ping of 300 isn't so bad if your gonna play with someone from a different country, And now that I've played the Objective game modes, I can also say that the objectives are brilliantly thought out, There's one I really enjoyed, You would first, Burn a vilage assunder and murder all of the vilagers n shit. Then proceed to battering ram the gates to a castle down, and murder the king, or VIP chosen at random to be a strong old man that can take many hits. And It was the most fun i've had in multiplayer for a while. Also, if you play the game, Press C... Just press C every second.
