They can't help it if there weren't any black people there.

What, do you think they'll just add some black people?

That's positive discrimination and ruins the historical accuracy of the game.

ffs, does it really matter? Big deal, there are no enforced suggestions in the game to play the racism card so I say otherwise.

dont feed the troll guys. its like when people said L4D2 was racist when you shoot black people, even thought the game is set en NEW ORLEANS. if there had been no black people they would have said THAT was racist.
its a video game. not a massive leap forward in racial equality.

OT: THERE ARE NO MEXICANS IN THIS GAME!!!!! I AM VERY OFFENDED!!!!! *writes a strongly worded letter to gearbox software*

I was thinking the same thing. I mean really, out of everything in DNF, a lack of racial variety is what they took umbrage with? I think the OP is just trying to rile people up.

On the off chance you, the OP, aren't trolling:

You are aware that other races exist besides white and black, right? I get that racism as a whole seems to have been more or less defined in the western experience by the interactions between whites and blacks and when it's applied to relations regarding races besides the two we still think in those terms but really? I mean, do we know if it was a conscious choice to exclude blacks? Is it possible they just didn't think to have any black characters because it never came up? Are you proposing that game developers should have to make sure they represent the entire rainbow before the game ships lest some excluded group feel offended? Isn't the suggestion that they'd all feel offended because one of their own was not in a video game even more racist because it suggests non-whites get their feelings hurt much, much easier than whites and that whites need to be extra special nice to them so they won't kill themselves in their depression?

Cultural Variety for cultural variety's sake is really dumb and pointless. Were there any Jews in Duke Nukem? Were there any Albinos? Were there any Argentines? zomg racismzzz.
