I wouldn't go out with you if..

To set this up, my mom is four inches taller than my dad. It doesn't seem to bother them, but sometimes when they are hanging out with their friends, they seem surprised to see that it doesn't bother them. Now, I don't know if I have gotten to the point that it doesn't bother me either, because I seem to date women that are about my height(I'm 5'9") or a little bit taller. So escapists, is there a physical trait that if a person has, you wouldn't go out with them? or is there a trait like height at a certain limit, you wouldn't go out with?

I have met couple of girls that wouldn't go out with me because I was too short. In asking why height matters, they like a man that they can look up to giving them a sense of overpowering them. I personally don't have anything like that.

That's...disturbing. Wanting to be dominated. It's common, but still feels stupid to me, unless it's being able to fully trust someone to carefully overpower you.

OP: No. Not unless they're unbareably ugly. I may prefer girls my height or slightly shorter, but if a girl were to ask me out and she was taller I probably wouldn't mind unless she made jokes about it.

I wouldn't go out with... a very large woman who was more than 2 inches taller than me. She would probably intimidate me if she was large and tall.

As for shorter than me, I don't care. I am currently going out with a girl who is 4'11"

Shorter women. As in, women who are shorter than average (ie, less than 5ft). Maybe it's because I'm tall. I dunno... there's just something about short people I don't like.

I've only ever dated traditionally attractive guys, but that's not really a requirement for me.
My weird thing is that I would never date anyone way more attractive than me. I don't want them to feel like they're doing me any favors.

Hey, at least they just straight up told you that. They didn't want to admit it when I asked, I think it's because they like to think they're not equally as shallow as guys.

As for me, I don't think I could date somebody who isn't around my level of intelligence. Not in an arrogant way, it's just I would relentlessly tease them and I doubt anybody could take it.

editoooh, also Religious people... basically for the same reason. I'm a very contemptious person and it tends to spill out a lot. Basically I couldn't date somebody for exactly the same reasons they can't date me. They wont let me. XD

Hairy arms, on a woman, are a big turnoff. It's not an "I will not date you" button, but I do wish some women -- especially certain brunettes -- would shave their arms while they're getting their armpits and legs.
