Greetings again, Escapists. It's time to talk about ice cream. What flavours do you love? Where do you get them from? How much can you stomach without flashbacks?

I'm very partial to cookie dough

If I could eat cookie dough for every meal, I would

But then I'd get fat

I found new love and joy in peanut butter ice cream. It didn't take long to ramp up into what's maybe my #1 fave. So good~

Haagen-Dazs, dark chocolate and cherry flavoured.

It's a complete freaking shame that all of the super-markets I go to stop carrying them. I seriously don't understand why they wouldn't want to stock up on what is clearly the superiour product.

The only correct answers in my life are Mint Chocolate Chip and those Maxibon things that seem to have disappeared from the UK. Seriously, the damn things are non-existent here but the other month I went to Spain and they're everywhere! Needless to say I did not lose weight on that vacation.

Tillamook has some of the best retail ice cream. Two of my favorite flavors are Mudslide and Oregon Dark Cherry. I alternate between the two depending on what I'm in the mood for.

Mudslide is the ultimate chocolate rush, with chocolate ice cream accompanied by an insane amount of chocolate fudge chunks and swirls. I shit you not, sometimes there's more fudge than ice cream, especially when you get near the bottom of the tub where the chocolate tends to settle.

Oregon Dark Cherry is almost the opposite experience; its flavor is very subtle. Indeed, it's hardly sweet at all aside from the cherries. That said, it has a wonderful rich creaminess that you just don't get from most other brands. It reminds me of the hand-churned ice cream my late grandmother made for special occasions.

Anything that's not pistachio or blueberry or bubblegum. That trio can go fuck itself.

But I can never say no to vanilla ice cream with various toppings. It's just so damn perfect. For specific brands, none, but there is this local brand that makes theirs out of carabao (which kind of translates into water buffalo) milk, and it is heavenly.

Mint chocolate chip is a go-to for me, get it pretty much every time.

Fuck you! I like bubblegum!
Funny story, I had it recently for the first time in like, fifteen years because I saw what looked like bubblegum ice cream in an episode of Black Mirror, made me want it.
I will say though, the little bits of gum in the ice cream sound like a good idea but are truly a hassle. It's never enough to chew and I don't want to chew it anyway because it's frozen and hard and I'm in the middle of eating ice cream...
It ain't easy bein' me.

Blue Bell Ice Cream's Rocky Road.

Trivia: Blue Bell Ice Cream originated in Texas and I remember when I was a child hearing that it was illegal to sell it outside of Texas for a good part of the 20th century. As a natural born Texan (and a greedy little boy who loved ice cream) this made me proud. ^_^

Now days I'm working on shedding extra pounds so...alas, I avoid such sweets except for special occasions. But some day...[small]some day...[/small]

Regular chocolate chip or mint chocolate chip are best.

I used to eat cookie dough a lot, but I think my body outright rejected it after eating so much of it. :/

I remember liking coffee ice cream as a kid, but I don't like it as an adult. Dunno why, it's the only case where my taste changed to DISLIKE something as I grew that I can think of.

I've always loved chocolate ice cream though. At ice cream shops I used to load up on extra chocolate (sprinkles, brownie bites, chips, syrup, hot fudge) but now I like it more simple, maybe with just some syrup on top. Aside from coffee though, the only flavor of ice cream I don't like is mint.

I also really like sherbet, though I don't eat it very often compared to other ice cream.
