Alright guys, I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP.

My and my friend have been put in charge of a flashmob. Trouble is, at the moment we have no idea what to do. We could seriously use your help here. Anything goes, as long as it is legal. Oh, and "the leader" of the flashmob is going to be a man in a monkeysuit.

Any ideas? Please help us fellow Escapists. We're counting on you!

Most flash mobs aren't legal, but you can do things that most people won't care about anyway. I used to run flash mobs as well. I did one where we set a 5 minute timer in which everyone involved had to hug every person they saw in a mall. It was quite fun, quite a ruckus.
Here are some other flash mob possibilities:

Looking up. Have about 100 people all standing, looking up at the sky, no reasoning but have them in a busy, high traffic area all stopped and looking upwards.

Tim the famous guy. Have a guy who is dubbed 'Tim', everyone involved believes Tim to be a huge celebrity and will in fact trample each other and begin to scream and attempt to get his autograph and generally have the chaos that any celebrity might have following them.

Jedi/Sith fight. Everyone needs a fake lightsaber. Large Space. Saber fight. Chaos ensues.

Zombies. Everyone involved dresses up as zombies, slowly enters into a populated, public area and begins to wander aimlessly or otherwise act in a zombie manner. After 5-10 minutes all the zombies leave.

This was actually planned to take place at London Bridge station in less than an hour from now. The idea was for everyone to act like zombies, specifically to play Thriller on their mp3 players and recreate the dance, for three minutes before wandering off. Sadly the organisers were asked by the transport police to cancel in the wake of last week's flashmob chaos at Liverpool Street station, where up to 5000 people turned up to dance to their iPods.

Meanwhile, the organisers of the aforementioned Liverpool Street thing are repeating the performance this evening, this time in Trafalgar Square.
