Im sure someone out there has already posted on this topic, but do you think boderlands would be better or worse if it was an mmo? basically if all the elements were the same but you could run into random people also playing.

I hate MMO's so no I think it's amazing as is.
They'd have to add in a billion moves instead of the one perk power everyone has otherwise I'm sure it wouldn't be picked up.

I think it would do worse as less people would actually buy it than the current number of people.

I wouldn't play it if it was an mmo. Mmo worlds are way to static for my liking. I'm happy with it being single player with co op.

Well to be honest, I am looking forward to the first (as far as I know) console based MMO. However I doubt that Borderlands would be successful in this role.

Final Fantasy XI, and Phantasy Star online (I think was an MMO).
Don't think either of them were good though.

OT: What your saying is if it was exactly the same game except you could meet other people mid instance? If you ask "If Boarderlands was a persistent world" I think people would like the idea more, as the stigma against a game labelled "MMO" can run quite thick in places.

At the moment I am tempted to buy Borderlands, but if it was an MMO that would change from a maybe to a HELL NO.
I like to be able to buy my games and be allowed to keep playing them, not having to pay for a month if I just want to play for half an hour before a lecture or something.

Then some nitwit would have posted a thread "Borderlands the WoW Killer"

OT: Then I wouldn't even consider getting it when its cheap

Yeah, thats what I mean. I think a persistent world would make the game more fun.
