I am aware that this makes no sense, but for wild speculation, I'm going to go ahead and ask, if people in the middle ages (in Europe, smart ones) made an atomic bomb and had all the supplies to build more, what do you think they'd do with them...

I'm guessing burn the creators along with a bomb at the stake because of the high belief of witchcraft during that era

Odds are? Would have been used during the Crusades, then in most major international wars after that point. These were the Middle Ages; they weren't really keen on the whole "But you're murdering a city of innocents" mentality.

well, seeing as EVERYONE in that time were religious/stupid radicals, i would say they would kil the Infadels/Non-Believers, and destroy the world in the name of their "God"

no way they could launch it that far without being within blast radius. then
the world would have used it against everyone.
that wouldnt have been good.

The ammount of technology to even begin to develop an A-bomb is staggering. If one faction at that time came upon the required knowledge to make shaped charges they could dominate all other factions without having to resort to nuking.

On another theoretical if middle age civilzations came accross a stock pile of nukes with an understandable instruction manual clearly detailing the consiquences of its use I doubt they would be put to use except in the case of a mad king ensuring that if he can't have a city nobody could. Generaly wars in that age were faught for the controll of land. Nobles were rairly killed as it was far more proffitable to capture them and random them back to their ritch relatives. This kind of political enviroment does not breed the neccisary hatred to justify an atomic crater a mile wide.

Even if a guy had successfully put together an a-bomb, chances are he'd have had no understanding of the capabilities of the device and unwittingly set it off, thereby killing himself, everyone nearby, and destroying the plans. Anybody who saw the blast from a distance would either flee and survive or move towards it to investigate the site and die of radiation sickness.

That's my take on it.
