Say there's a game you ablsolutly loved. But there was just one thing about it you would want different. Or there was a game you wanted to love, but one thing just ruined it for you. What would that one thing be?

Here are the rules:
-This is talking about mechanics, weapons, characters, game modes, ect. of the game.
-You can only pick one thing per game. You can post as many games as you like per post, but just one mechanic per game. And unless there was a mechanic introduced later in the series, you can only post one game per series, and only one character per series.
-Be specific. Avoid saying "I'd just make the game not suck!" Or something along thos lines.
-Removing mechanics counts as the one change, but you can also replace mechanics. For example, you can say "Get rid of X" or you can say "Get rid of X and replace with Y".
-You can alter mechanics, for example "I'd make X less linear than it was before."
-You can mention characters or music, but the above rules still apply. Also, If you are removing a character/music, you need to replace them.
-Try to justify your decision. Others might not agree, so be sure to explain your perspective.

Have fun, and let your imaginations run wild, my friends! Let the insanity begin!

For Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, I'd simply put in a better combat system like what's in Warrior Within or The Two Thrones, as that'd make that game perfect.

For Dark Sector, I'd add a story.

For Metroid Prime id improve the way you travel so you could cut back on the Backtracking.

It added a bit of length to the game and while its fun to just explore, once i was ready to beat the game, finding all the damn artifacts was frustrating.

Going from Chozo Ruins to the Phazon Mines was a nice walk...

Dragon Age Origins, (I'll put it in spoilers just in case).

Being able to try and find Morrigan and your demon child just because it would have been interesting to find her and see what happens next and to meet my demon child.

Because I've been playing Red Dead Redemption so much, I'll say this: I shouldn't have to load up Free Roam in the multiplayer before entering Gang Matches/Free-For-Alls/Whatver-else-you-want-to-do-that-is-not-free-roam. You should be able to select you game type from the main menu. Maybe when you press the button for multiplayer, the side bar you can get during Free Roam comes up and you can use that instead of going into Free Roam first. Loading Screens be damned!

Bioshock - They need to seriously nerf the big daddys, they are game-breakingly hard to kill.

Fallout 3: a jump skill, more like in Oblivion where you can actually hop around. Makes things more accessible
Saints Row 2: making the hair and clothing react like they should, as is, long coats don't react to motion much at all and hair might as well be a plastic wig.
Resident Evil 5: being able to move and shoot at the same time.
GTA 4: consierably less opressive police, at least until higher levels of pissed off dispatchers. Can't punch two people without getting swat teams sometimes.
Tenchu Z: Cut out forced boss fights, it's a stealth game, dammit!
Batman: Arkham Asylum: Eliminate all bosses, none of them were pleasant and there must have been something else to do.
Borderlands: Allow the player to kill claptrap, respawning him is optional.
Oblivion: no more FUCKING PSYCHIC GUARDS. (What Hieronymus Lex is to the theives, I am to the guards)

You wouldn't want them to exhaust all DLC possibilities in the expansion, now would you?

Fallout 3: I'd improve some of the animation. As it stands, I think it's almost perfect, except for a few minor aesthetic quibbles.

Mass Effect 2: Remove the freaking resource scanning.

Maybe really early on in the game, but towards the end of the game they're easier to kill than some splicers.

Some of those Houdini splicers are harder to kill than a god, for shit's sake.

MW2: Remove all explosives

GTA4: Add other criminals! Why am I the only criminal running the streets of this vast city? Sure, there are the people in the cut-scenes, but I wanna see civilians car-jacking each other.

In the Half-Life series, I would make Gordon Freeman nameless. The only way to become attached to a silent protagonist is to make them part of yourself. If the character has a name, or a face, or a voice, etc., that becomes impossible.

Star Wars: JKJA - I'd love to see a way where you can kill Rosh Penin, but join the cultists and the Reborn, instead of going completely Sith and killing everything you see.

Mass Effect 2: I'd add a Horde mode. As DLC, so it wouldn't take away from the original single-player experience.

Gears of War 2: I'd make the melee do much less damage, so it stuns the victim, but does not make two-piecing so easy and eliminates double-melee downs.

Resident Evil 4: Allow the player to move with their gun out. Seriously, welcome to the last two console generations.

Dead Rising: Remove the freaking time limit. That ruined an otherwise amazing game.

Pikmin: Same as Dead Rising. The game would have been a lot better without the pressure of time.

Mirror's Edge: Some way to gain new abilities. It was a great game, but it would have been better with new things being introduced now and again.

Also, I would like to say that any game would be better with Iroh in it. Because Iroh makes everything better.

Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter:
The extra game modes the original game had!
I loved the Firefight mode, and now that I have the sequel, I look back on those days with a little bit more interest.
