For those who are unfamiliar, CyberConnect2 is a japanese development studio who is responsible for some of the best animated video games available on the market. They have made all of the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm games and also the somewhat newer title, Asura's Wrath.

As I said, these games are gorgeously animated. Don't believe me? Then watch some of the gameplay posted below.

Now that we know that CC2 is fully capable of bringing over the top action to our consoles, that begs the question: If you could force CyberConnect2 to make a game out of any anime/manga, what would it be?

Personally, I would like to see CC2 make a Gurren Lagann game.

Think about it. If they worked with the engine that is used to make Ultimate Ninja Storm, the game would be FUCKING. BEAUTIFUL.

So? What would you like to see?

With an engine like that, any anime game CC2 makes is sure to deliver on visual awesomeness. 0.0

The first three anime that come to my mind would be Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Tegami Bachi (Letter Bee).

FMA: Not sure what kind of game this could be. Action adventure? Both linear and open-world seem plausible.

Bleach: Fighting games for Bleach have been done before, but none of them seem that good (neither did Soul Resurreccion). But if anyone could make a good Bleach fighting game, CC2 would be my best bet.

Tegami Bachi: Most people here have probably not heard of this series, but I really recommend you check it out if you're into adventure manga. As a game, I can imagine this being an open-world action/adventure game of some sort. Perhaps it could even go MMO with the abilty to create your own letter bee character? Think of a 3rd-person Skyrim here. CC2 probably can't make a game like this, but I can dream, right?

Make them do Pokemon.

Sit down, I already know the handheld ones are doing just fine. I'm talking about an action adventure pokemon game.

When I come across a wild pokemon, I want them to just be sitting there or rotting around for berries or something before I come in with my starter and ambush them. I wanna be able to dodge enemy attacks before doing some kind of counter when there defense is totally down. The Pokemon anime captures the excitement of being in a pokemon battle better than the RPGs ever did. We need a direct transition of that.

I'd cosign to a Bleach game as well. Image fighting off a Menos Grande in an Asura's Wrath style sequence.

You know what? Asura's Wrath tells me that they could make a faithful game-version of that epic space opera, Heroic Age.

This show is visually, musically, plottistically, actionly, movingly, etcetraly splendorous as far as anime goes. I think every anime fan should see it at least once in their life, because of how it is.

It begins with the tale of a Golden Race, a sort of altruistic group of beings who wished to uplift others who are closest to them in development. Three races answer, but before long, one more arrives, a human vessel with only one survivor, a boy that they foresee will take this universe to the next stage once they are gone. The Golden Race leaves, letting the other races - so-titled Silver, Bronze, Heroic, and Iron (That's us.) - to follow in their footsteps. But there will be so much strife and countless deaths before it is resolved. Move on to the expedition of one human vessel, years later. Humans are at war with the Silver and Bronze Race, and the Argonaut is on a quest to find the one whom the Golden Race gifted with...a power.

The Nodos. This isn't spoiler. Everything I'm saying you learn by the first episode. This is a member of the Heroic Race. They're very powerful, and each one different from the last. This is why Asura's Wrath tells me that CC2 can handle it. They're not just the people who brought me the .hack world, which I love, they have the clear and obvious skill to deliver epic and put it into gameplay. Heroic Age is worth it. I would force them, I would bribe them, I would BEG them...and they would make money hand over fist, dammit!

Air Gear: An anime wherein people try to achieve flight using motorized roller blades. Also they fight using them. And there's blood and titties but they're not used pointlessly. It's really cool

Pretty games yes, but I'd rather wipe my arse with glass shards then play those.
If they got in touch with someone who is good at gameplay then we can start talking about some great potential, and Cowboy Bebop would be my first pick.

Samurai 7. Imagine this intro was in game form. Granted the anime isn't like that, instead it's a human samurai against a giant mech! Yeah I think it will work.

I'd say Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann as well. Hell, the last couple of levels of Asura's Wrath are practically the same as the finale of Gurren Lagann. Just replace "Spiral Power" with "Wrath" and lower the protagonist scale from galactic to planetary (although the same cannot be said for your opponent).

A Hellsing fps would be pretty awesome. I don't know if this studio would make a fps though...

Do the Dragon Ball Z games that already exist fail to satisfy you?

The last greatgame was Budokai 3. Ultimate Tenkaichi had potentia;l, but that combat system just didn't do it for me.

So A Dragon Ball Z game in the vein of the Ultimate Ninja Storm games would be awesome.

If they could do it then I would like a fullmetal alchemist game, the other ones were kinda shit.

Honestly I would rather they make another .Hack series. One where I can make my own main character already
