I would have to say for myself That I would like to live through the events following the Revolutionary days of America because it would be great to be a part of the founding of the country and it I would fit in better because that is back when they actually followed the Constitution because it had just been written. That was actually a rather hard decision as there are so many cool times, if only I had a time machine, maybe I could go to the future when they have a time machine and travel back but that is cheating.

Does the future count? The past sucked. Some parts would have been cool to spend a while in but screw living back then. The combination of disease and lack of stuff that I love would be a real bummer.

I'd like to live in the time before the american war for independance. But then, I'd also like to assist the british in that particular war, because I'm 85% convinced that the world would be a much, much better place if america still had to run all its decisions past england first.
Just on a side note that's a bit off-topic, can someone explain to me the yank facination and addiction to guns? You've got a firearm related murder rate higher than the rest of the world combined, yet you're unable to be statisfied unless you own more than 12 guns that can spit out 100+ bullets per second. What the hell is wrong with you all? PM me so I don't end up hijacking this thread. I'd really like to understand.

The future, for there will be robots. Hopefully giant robots which I can pilot.
As for the past, being a roman citizen would probably be pretty sweet. You get to wear togas, you get slaves, you get to watch gladiatorial combat all day. Eating olives would be a bit of a dietary change for me, but I can adjust.

I wouldn't want to live in any other time period but right now. I wouldn't mind visiting ancient Greece though, get to chill with Socrates, Plato and Aristotle and discuss life the universe and everything.
