If you could only have 3 programs installed on your computer, which would you choose and why?

You have whatever operating system you have now, only stripped of all programs but the file system.
I would choose Paint.net [http://www.autohotkey.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=50813]
That would give me autohotkey, radial menu, mouse gestures, a web browser, and a photo editor.

Google Chrome, Steam and iTunes

Chrome pretty much runs as its own operating system, Steam for gaming and iTunes for music and the convenience of connecting my iPod.

Running on Windows 7, and assuming we're not counting plugins such as Flash

I stop using a computer and start using my phone...

I mean this seems like a round about way of asking what my three favorite programs are, because a computer with only three programs on it is basically just going to be used to surf the web, as it's the only way to get good bang for the buck.

iTunes because I need my music.

Protools because I need that for work yo.

Ableton Live because as much as I hate using that program sometimes I do need it.

Sorry Steam.... :(

Firefox (As someone above said, a web browser is pretty much capable of everything as a standard desktop), Pithos (Pandora desktop client, I need music. It's like air) and Google Sketchup (I do 3D models when I'm bored or when I have a house idea I just need to see in 3D)

Linux Mint 12/ DVD version

Opera, I need my internet.
Norton 360, gotta have anti-virus.
Steam - I want my games. Cheating slightly but as everything's in the steam program files folder I get all my games with it. As a matter of technicality, it's a super-program which runs games as sub-programs.

FireFox.
Steam.
(If your counting Games as Programs then:)Shogun 2 Total War, Darth Mod edition.
(If your not then) Visual Basic.

...I know Visual Basic is a bit of a cheat due to the fact you use it to create programs xD

Well, this is rather tricky. I guess if i had to choose i would have to say:

Steam (Need my games)
Google Chrome (You tend to realize how much you can't do without the internet -_-)
Vegas Pro 9 (I make videos and stuff with it, it was either this or Itunes, but considering how Chrome gives me Youtube, that's all i need for the music category)

Steam, Firefox and Foobar. That's basically all I use now.

Still though, any of you know how amazing this would be? Your computer wouldn't have a single wasted process running. Games would run like a charm. I wish this would happen now :(.

Google Chrome, Steam and (assuming I still have some sort of file storage system on my desktop) Windows Media Player.

That way I can still play all the vidya gaems, still watch all the pr0nz, and still listen to all da mad beatz.

Google Chrome, Autodesk 3DS Max, and Adobe Premiere.

And to add one game, Starcraft 2.

Why? To do animations, make videos, and upload them. However, my computer has become quite worn from all the rendering, and haven't done too much recently.
