If you never had to sleep what would spend your extra time doing?

Say that you found yourself in the posession of some pills that if you took them you wouldn't need to sleep again, you'd feel well rested and energetic and you'd suffer no ill effects from either the pills or the lack of sleep.

What would you do with all that extra time?

I want these pills. So, so badly.

Anyway, I'd do the things I'd normally do, mostly watching movies and playing games. I'd also have more time to think, something that, while not always productive, is beneficial in the end.

I'd do all my homework, play games until 3:00 AM, and then sleep until it was time to go to school.

I love getting bizarre dreams, and I can't get those without sleep, so...

Ironically I'm pulling an all-nighter now so I don't oversleep and miss my morning exam. To be fair I should be revising right now, but I'm such a procrastinator...

If I never had to sleep, I'd probably spend my extra time playing on my Xbox and working on the various projects I have on the go that I can never seem to finish. Like, I said I'd work on building a website for my university film-making group some months ago, yet despite buying (and reading the first chapter of) Web-Building For Dummies, I've still not bothered starting to code it yet. I don't even have an idea for the layout of the home page. So yeah, projects like that would be on my list of priorities...

Damn, I enjoy sleeping. I'd probably end up daydreaming to compensate for my missing excuse to stare at the ceiling and zone out. Screw productivity.

You and me both.

Granted, I doubt I'd do much more than what I do now when I'm not asleep, but when I think about how much time I could gain to do whatever I please... it makes me wish someone would get to work on this kind of thing NOW!

I'd probably be bored out of my mind. There are already days where I struggle to figure out what to with the time I spend awake. Adding another 6-10 hours to that would be hell.

Whatever would need doing at the time. If nothing important needed to be done, probably mess around on the internet and play games.

That said, I do like curling up in bed, so as long as it isn't 'never being ABLE to sleep' along with not HAVING to, I'd be okay with it.

I think I'd probably just waste it away on here...like I already do with 90% of my time.
Either that or play games.
Certainly nothing productive would come of it.

Well let's see, what hours am I getting back? Typically we're looking at the hours between 4 AM and noon the way my schedule is currently constituted, which means that I could either spend that time gaming or pick up a job at Starbucks or a donut shop serving coffee to early risers. Either way, I'm not losing much by sleeping (unless, and this is more intriguing, I wanted to use that time to write and made a commitment to so doing---I could probably land a decent gig.)

If I were in a more typical role, say, the schedule I'm gonna have to keep after college (when my degree will require me to work banker's hours), sleeping from 11 or so at night until 7 in the morning? Nothing's open that late (except casinos around here, and have you ever been in a casino on the graveyard shift? Christ, it's like taking the Wild Wasteland trait) and there's really nothing to do except either take up a self-employed second career (writing, as previously mentioned, which these days I don't do much of because my daily commitments totally wreck my creativity and I have to recharge in the evening) or build one hell of a Sims 3 neighborhood.
