If you were a pokemon trainer, what would you "Surf" on?

If you were a pokemon trainer, and you need to cross a lake or go upstream, etc. What pokemon would you ride on?

I want to say Milotic, because it is pretty, but I know me, I'd use a Lapras because I could use it as a diving platform if I wanted to swim a bit, or just spread a blanket over its back and have a picnic and cruise to wherever I wanted to go.

Gyarados, no question there. If I'm going to be riding on an animal across miles of ocean, it's going to be a massive sea-serpent that will outweigh pretty much anything that tries to take a nip at us along the way (unless we hit a pack of hostile Wailords...then we're just kind of screwed).
