If You Were to Get a Tattoo...

....where would you put it? Would it be, large or small, hidden or in plain view, simple or complex, black or colourful, for attention or for some deeper meaning, or maybe you wouldn't get one at all.

I was rereading an old thread of mine about getting a tattoo. If I had the money, and if I had more long sleeve shirts to cover them up when needed, I would get two dragons going down my arms similar to Rand's from The Wheel of Time book series.

So for me the tattoos would be large, in plain view, sorta complex, and colourful. If I'm going to get a tat' then I want people to see it. I don't like attention, but this would be for myself 'cause I love the series and it means something to me.

So if/when you get/got a tattoo, what was it like? Was it for yourself, or maybe for your spouse, or were you just drunk? Would you get the apple logo, a roaring tiger, or a "I LOVE MOM"?

Right on the collarbone? That would probably hurt a lot, but it would be awesome none-the-less.

No one can see it unless I'm not wearing pants, I even forget I have it sometimes.
No plans to get another one for the foreseeable future.
I wanted to get at least one though.

Mine is on my left shoulder. About 4 inches across, 2 high. Texas flag with the words Praeperut Bellum.

It isn't comfortable, but it isn't horribally painful.

I already have one on the back of my thigh to keep it hidden from my dad. Its a skull timer with the Mad Hatter hat. My next one will be a half sleeve on my right arm(shoulder down to about my elbow). Its going to be a biomechanical styled tattoo with a steampunk twist though. Getting it done on my arm because I really want to show it off.

I always thought if I was gonna get a tattoo, I'd want it to be one of those wanky special meaning ones.
