If you were to start a new life where would you live?

The reason I ask is because im curious to know were people now feel is the best place to live. Im sure everyone has there own opinion and I would like to hear them if thats ok? Also if you could, give brief description why.

For me oddly enough I would like to start a new life in Japan. My reasons are: The people seem nice, I love the language, have a thing for asian women, The life style seems exciting, and I love all the bizarre foods.

I'm in London, and I would only really consider New York (and a couple of other locations in the US), or somewhere like Japan. If I get the job I just applied for as a foreign journalist, I may get my wish!
