Mine is something like an aging 2.4 litre Audi A4 Estate. Quality, but not too posh. Due to its high average specs + good build it's a reliable all-rounder - but it will never match a Porsche for performance.

You can't trade your computer in for a car sadly, but if you could, what would be its automobile counterpart?

Feel free to post pictures of said car.

I got my laptop used from my cousin. It's a Gateway from a few years ago with a widescreen monitor. It's no where near top of the line and will freeze up and crash every now and then, but is solid for the most part. I'll go with this:

Alienware M11x, core 2 duo processor, 1GB dedicated graphics card, 4gb of ram:

2008 Mustang v6 (Not the V8 gt upgrade)? Has a little bit of a kick to it, kinda flashy with the lights, but not exactly top of the line and a little dated.

ATI Radeon HD 5700
i7 Quad Core @ 2.8 GHz.
8 GB RAM
Boots from a SSD.

Not sure how that translates into cars, taking suggestions.

The one I'm currently using to post is a moped.

Get's me from A to B but not at the speed I'd like it to. Also it stalls. A lot.

I have two. The first would probably be comparable to a custom '95-'04 Chevy Blazer. Decent specs, high capacity, a lot of customizability (which I've taken advantage of), and all-round solid performance.

The laptop that I use though, is a different story. Probably comparable to a Lamborghini Gallardo or something. It's a Macbook Pro, so it has higher-end specs, though less custom parts than my other computer. It's powerful, but it has less storage space than my big old tower. Planning to upgrade the RAM though. 4gb may be okay, but IT'S NEVER ENOUGH! So, I guess that's like supercharging an engine, right?

My laptop would be this:

It's pretty much fucked. The slightest movement will cause it to turn off by itself which is really annoying. I can't wait until payday so I can get a new one.

A Mercedes A class 2012 I guess. Above average in speed and design/comfort but not like Lamborghini GTX 680 SLI fast. On the otherside if my car would be a computer it would probably be one that runs on MS Dos with like 50Hz CPU and integrated GPU ( I have a VW Golf from 1997)

A custom kit small block V8 hot rod that's starting to develop a knock from hundreds of thousands of track miles. She's still running, but she's not keeping up anymore.

Personally, I'm not fond of cars or computers that haven't been personally built or at least overhauled by their owners.

Oh, and cosmetically it would be about like a black Skyline. Fairly large with a standard sporty look... it's in an Antec Nine Hundred.

I have no idea. It's just a simple one that we got a few years ago. It's pretty efficient despite not being too powerful/pretty looking.

I'll say a Ford Escort. In my experience, they've been pretty trustworthy cars even though they're not very flashy.

My computer has less power than some tablets. It'd probably be something like;

The most recent game I've played on it is DXHR. It gets around 20 fps on min settings, and for some reason it will only start the game if its the first thing I play.
It almost never crashes though. I'm dreading having to upgrade to Windows 7 when I get my new computer. I love windows XP so much.
