I had a random thought that if I was a decent enough developer a fighting game using DnD-esque characters I've made could be pretty cool So I starting wondering how my characters would play, and I ask the forum if your characters were ported into a fighting game, how do you think they would play (Strengths, Weaknesses, playstyle, etc) ?

Argos Tihr is my buff boi Dragonborn Fighter from 5e who uses a large shield and is beefcake enough to use a pike one handed with his shield. He would be rather interesting, as his pike would give him great reach and his shield great defence. His crazy high STR (20 in 5e, porting to OSRIC for a dungeon crawl with Tempest and he has 18 (97)) means he hits like a tank, and his 18 CON (19 in OSRIC due to racial bonuses) plus his big shieldmeans he is also REALLY tanky when it comes to taking hits. However his choice of a pike would mean his drawback would be a weak close range game and his attack recovery wouldn't be the quickest. This means he would be an absolute MONSTER at his favored range, and he could take hits while trying to get back into his preferred distance (A few tricks like a low damage shield bash that has high knockback would go a long way to helping deal with close encounters). He would be the standard slow bruiser, but with a range-controlling twist (Zangief with a pike so to speak).

Pelsta is my first stated character, and is a catfolk javelin throwing Ranger/Rogue with a large shield (Late-Roman style oval scutum) and high Dex. I suspect for him the best setup would be a powerful longe range javelins, and quick very short range dagger attacks combined with some nimble rolls to close distance or get to the enemy's back (For increased damage). He isn't very tough, nor all that hard hitting per strike, but he can move around quite quickly and can still block if he needs to. He would be the type to maintain distance to annoy enemies into trying to close, then punishing them as they do (Guile with a knife and javelins I suppose).

So how would the Escapist's characters play?

In my current campaigns (Pathfinder) I've got a Dhampir Sorceress (Efreeti Bloodline), a Catfolk Ninja, an Elven Rogue, a Drow Sorceress (Draconic Bloodline), and a Kitsune Bard.

Messed up my build with my Dhampir...could have had a sweet melee sorceress grappler with plenty of selt-sustain. Too late now, though, so she'd be a zoner in a fighting game, playing the classic keep-away game. Lvl 3 super calls forth a random lvl 3 super from any other character in the game. (Wish)

Catfolk Ninja would be a diver with lots of cross-ups. I'd imagine she'd probably have a move akin to Scorpion's move where he jumps back and appears on the other side of the screen to hit the opponent from behind. Lvl 3 super is a dash-grapple that's an insta-kill if it lands. (Assassinate) Wind-up would be easy to spot and block/dodge, so it'd require setup on her part to make it land.

Drow Sorceress would be a hybrid charger/zoner, poking from range but if you get too close she'd have a dash to get in and start using her Draconic bloodline powers. Lvl 3 super would essentially be Akuma's Raging Demon as my sorceress casts Greater Darkness then leaps in for a flurry of strikes with her dragon claws.

Elven Rogue would be a combo fiend, trying to keep the opponent pinned in the corner with a flurry of long combos. Lvl 3 super grants her Improved Uncanny Dodge, taking half damage and her combos aren't interrupted by being hit. Lasts 5 seconds.

Kitsune Bard would be another zoner, but with more stun/disabling moves. Lvl 3 super that's a full-screen insta-kill (Song of Extinction...which she actually has in the campaign she's in. :^) ).
Effect: The area within 100 feet of the performer begins quaking and moaning as if the earth itself were in pain. The affected area is treated as per the spell earthquake. In addition, all creatures in the area except for the performer must make DC 25 Reflex saves, as individual earthen maws open beneath each. Those who fail fall into a 100-foot-deep pit that quickly grinds shut, trapping them as if they were in the bury zone of an avalanche and trapped without air. If any living, sentient creature is killed by the Song of Extinction?s effects, the performer ceases to age for 1 year.
As I play squishy classes, their strengths/weaknesses would be the same: high damage output but they take higher damage as well.

Horrorshow (Mutants and Masterminds): Edgelordy vigilante I styled very much off of Taskmaster, so you would just need to do some tune ups on the MvC 3 Taskmaster, and bob's your uncle.

Maxine (also Mutants and Mastermind): Science genius kid with a bleeding edge tech power armor suit that makes her a match for super's combat. Friend of mine recommended Tron Bonne, also from MvC 3 for that one.
