I know I'm taking this way too seriously, but this host (the Red Eye one) pisses me off here.

I love seeing people in the comments call this moron on the shit he says, but I hate this because it reflects bad on the rest of America. I don't even care anymore, I just hate that people like this moron exist, and that they are given air time to spew whatever moronic thoughts come into their mind.

Any rants out their that piss you off? They don't have to be about your country, just something that makes you angry listening to.

EDIT: Thank you Accursed Theory.

EDIT 2: Also, double points (pretend there are points) for anyone who has a specific video to share with the class....I mean forum.

Anything that comes from the mouth of Glenn Beck. It amazes me how he thinks that everything from Economic Crisis Solutions to table napkins can be likened to Nazi's.

What he said.

I tried watching one of his rants once. You know, because I didn't think he was as bad as people said.

Boy was I wrong.

Anything involving the words "Evolution", "Abortion", "Justin Bieber", "Twilight" or "It sucks because it's old" will result in many scratched walls, my fingernails nicely filed and foam covering my face.

Mostly political ones. People who support an ableist eugenics policy come to mind (seriously, to anyone who would rather live in a world where Paris Hilton is allowed to live because she's "normal" but not Stephen Hawking because he has a medical condition, there's something screwed up about your idea of what makes a worthwhile human being).

I would say anti-gay rants too, but I'm so inoculated to them at this point that I just don't care. I really don't.

To be fair, rants of any perspective usually don't trigger me at all. What triggers me is when people agree with ignorance like it's pure, undiluted genius, and nobody calls them out on their bullshit. That pisses me off more. And if people think my views are stupid, I encourage people to call me out and disagree with me; we can debate and argue like adults.

Anyone who can't defend their beliefs under scrutiny either doesn't know what they're talking about or doesn't know why they believe what they believe, and that is the scariest thing imaginable; that people just believe things solely because other people do and it's easier to agree than question.

Argh, yes.

I'd extend "Evolution" to more or less anything to do with religion, and "abortion" to more or less anything to do with women's rights, though.

I would like to argue that that is not your pimp stick, it is Maleficent's as is proven in Disney's "Sleeping Beauty".

Seriously though, unless I can back up my claims, I don't argue against people. I will hold onto my views, but there is no point trying to convince others when you don't know all the facts or can't make a good case.

Any uninformed arguments. Typically I'm exposed, in my school environment, to anti-Republicanism, which just leads to awkward moments in certain classes ("There were no WMDs in Iraq: Therefore, there was absolutely NO reason to be in Iraq at all period." Thanks, Teech.)

OH!

How about one time where meand a guy were discussing environmentalism and how certain aspects are overblown (like exactly HOW MUCH of climate change is due to man, etc. [Hint: Not all. Lots, but not all.]). Anyway, third guy comes up and starts ranting about how the US needs to be off all forms of oil right NOW and how he was right because he was an environmentally-minded Democrat. I said, "I got a 5 (of 5) on the Environmental Science AP exam. That's extremely uninformed." The guy says that I was wrong and that he was taking EnviSci in the Fall and it'd be a cakewalk. Guess which class he dropped in December because it was too hard. Yes, Environmental Science. Looks like "Blind Support" =/= "Total Knowledge".

I can usually survive those, unless there's a ton of intolerance involved (intolerance meaning "go die" as opposed to "you're stupid").

Also, I have a lot of fun flipping the shit of the unimaginative and excessively logical. Check my avatar for details.

It pisses me off when some of my Australian countrymen rant about how we shouldn't allow immigration. Especially, anyone who wouldn't be here if the God aweful "White Australia Policy" had not been revoked.

This *Hides face in shame of national history*: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Australia_policy

It's a modern, multicultural society. Don't just 'get used to it', embrace it!

Tsk, tsk. Ignorant argument, based on mistaken information. You do realise that the implication in the avatar is that it is indeed Maleficent saying that phrase, yes? I would never dare question the pimpstick ownership of the MISTRESS OF ALL EVIL!

I am disappoint. ;)

I find nothing illogical at all about your avatar. I have those very same pillars in my living room....or maybe that's radioactive fungus.....I'll be right back.

I thought you were badgersprite. Who's this disappoint of whom you speak?

Also, Maleficent doesn't need to speak, just to hit people in Morse code. Because that's what pimp sticks are for.

edit: It hurts my brain when people bring religion into scientific topics. They are fine seperate, so keep them that way.

Sky cake? I thought it was sky pie.

But seriously, I have to agree with you on the hate of the 'religion is the only way to have morals' arguments/speeches.

They're just making fun of the Canadian Army. Nothing to get but hurt over.
Its the way they did it though, it just made them seem rather childish, and the whole making fun of that dudes name...just rather stupid anyway the canadian army is next to nonexistent in the first place, when did we ever turn the tides in someones favor? actually on an afterthought (and the reading of others posts) we canadians do actually help and lets not forget 1812...

OT: i hate religous rants.

The only things that make me really rage are extremely homophobic rants or people ranting about the uselessness/inconvenience/personal dislike of the mentally disabled. I'm gay and my little brother is Autistic, so it's personal to me.

It's really hurtful to see actual, legit POLITICIANS of this country saying that I'm evil, wrong, and going to hell. Other crazy people are easy to brush off, but when it's someone who is part of the government of the country that I'm living in saying it... yeah. Harder to ignore. It's actually frightening to see people given air time to voice their widely supported opinions that I, as a person, am evil and disgusting by my very nature.

Sometimes I really wished that I lived in Canada instead of here. The US is scary sometimes. >_>

The redeye people piss me off. The canadian navy stopped 2/3 of ships in the gulf, and many many other nations come to canada to train. Also the RCMP is so bad@ss that they can follow suspects into the states, and are again very well trained.

You'd be surprised. In WWII, for instance we had the third-largest Navy, fourth largest Air Force, and #1 largest volunteer army in the WHOLE WORLD.

Not bad for an eight-digit country.
