Maybe this isn't the right section of forums to post this? But I'm new, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!

Anyways, my boyfriends' birthday is coming up this Friday we've been together since about May and I am completely lost on what to get him. He likes almost every game out for the 360 as well as older games, he also likes those Fat-Free gummy candies that are shaped like a dinosauric fish...totally blanking on the name. But I'm too broke to buy him a game, and I don't want to buy him the only thing I know he likes for his b-day as he'll probably already get a bunch from friends....

Guys! Please help me if you have any advice, it's MUCHO appreciated! =[

Get him an old (and cheap) XboX game that will work on the 360. Knights of the Old Republic or Morrowind are good choices if he likes RPG's. I don't know if they will run on the 360, though...

Well there are a number of things you could do...
You don't need to get him a present so much as do something nice for him

For example, find a flaw about yourself that he doesn't like and try changing it

-Edit- OR you could give give him sex... A lot?

If I were you I wouldn't spend too much time agonising about a present, just get something simple that you know he'll enjoy.

Perhaps more importantly you might want to take him somewhere that he will really enjoy (club/meal/whatever he's into) and pay for all of it. That way not only are you getting him something special for his birthday, he's enjoying it with somebody he loves. That, at least to me dunno about your fella, is more important than material goods.

I bought my boyfriend a Wii for his birthday. The words 'Best girlfriend ever' were mentioned several times. But it's expensive.

Really though, if he loves you he wont really care as long as it's from you. Dont stress too much :)

Can't go wrong with Microsoft points. As others have pointed out, however, you don't have to spend a lot, or even anything at all, in order to do something meaningful, thoughtful, and appreciated.

I made my boyfriend a birthday cake one year (rectangular sheet cake), then iced it up to look like a level from Space Invaders, but the invaders were the logos for the PS2, the Dreamcast, the Xbox, and GameCube, and the cannon was the Atari logo. His birthdate was the score at the top. It wasn't perfect, but it got the point across, and he absolutely loved it.

my boyfriends' birthday
Psh. Everyone knows girls don't exist on the internet! ;D

In all seriousness though, it doesn't *have* to be a game or something directly related to his likes. I'm heavily into anime and games, my girlfriend got me a Monty Python DVD which we watched together. I loved it.

Anything special that you've got just between the two of you (again, to relate it to my relationship it was apple juice :p) then you could get something relevant to that alongside it. A little jokey gift alongside something else if you don't think that the oldschool game would be enough.

I heard my friend's girlfriend offered him one night to explore his weirder fetishes as a birthday present, though I dunno if you'd be comfortable with that.

Who says the OP is a girl??

really depends on how close your relationship is, I would be happy with what ever my missus got me but then we've been together 8 years.

there is always smashkings option of sex, but only if your already doing it, or ready too and resposible and all that funky jazz.

He has a Wii, we're going to IHOP anyways we always do on Friday with friends, cake sounds like it turned out AWESOME! But I have no experience in doing that sort of thing (baking and otherwise) and I'm sure I'd burn it if I can burn Ramien noodles, he thinks I do no wrong and that I walk on water... and I already give him more sex than I think he can handle.
(He gets dizzy, haha! Oh sorry, tmi. >.<)

And Amnestic, good idea. I may make him a homemade coupon book with stuff like "Good for a back rub no whining" etc... Altho, I'm not sure he'll actually use it/like it.
GAH! So confusing... =[

Everyone's been so nice though, keep the ideas coming if you can think of some!

You know, there is the old time classic, ask him... At least ask for a hint(If he says sex, then you have yourself a cheap present). I do have to go with hey joe on this, a striper gram would be(almost) any heterosexuals fantasy.

Her profile. I checked before I posted ^^

Threesome with one of your girlfriends who's open to experimentation? I hear a lot of guys fantasise about that, though word on the street is that it fails in practise with two girls and a guy.

Darth Mobius raises a good point. Rather than getting him a physical gift like a game or something, giving him a "Perfect Evening" of sorts could work. The memories will last longer than a game, I assure you.

Oh, I see wut you did thar. xD
I'm not too sure about that one Hey Joe.

BJ, he gets on the regular anyways, I have asked him he said "You don't have to get me anything or if you do I'll like anything you get me".
-.- I hate that.
Money I don't really have enough of it myself, hence the 'nothing expensive' part. And if I give him what I could afford ($5) he'd be like... uhh ok.

Plus, Jager is what we love to drink together.. I might scratch up enough for our own bottle seeing as we usually chip in and drink off our friends $50 bottle. Thanks!
