There comes a time in everyones lives when they realise they need to leave the place where they are situated. I myself am nearing this point. I live in Dunvegan, a village on Skye, located on the north west of Scotland.

I have never seen such a massive concentration of absolute fuckheads in one area. It's ridiculous. I am sick to my stomach of having to end fights, convince people that their lives are going to be ruined if they go and batter so-and-so and the general idiocy that thrives in such a small place. Part of me says 'let them destroy themselves' another part says 'you can make a difference'. While I usually go with the latter it's starting to wear.

So. Anyone else live in an area where violence/stupid behaviour is rife? If so, share your stories because this place is starting to drive me up the wall.

I live in Reno. City's full of degenerate gamblers, meth heads, country folk...and Californians priced out of the Bay Area who brought their politics with them but don't want to pay taxes to support the government programs they try to push through. Oddly, i moved around alot in my youth.
In some ways both big cities and small Rural areas have big drawbacks.
in the cites it's crime, Too many people and never enough time.
In the rural area's it's Too much time, never enough to do. too few people,Ect.

Leeds and Birmingham, neither are that huge on the whole 'fucktard' scene. There's a few, sure, but in general Leeds has some of the nicest people I've ever met (although I mainly meet fellow students so that really accounts for the whole country...), and Birmingham isn't as bad as you'd think.

I've developed an actual phobia about being mistaken for an idiot tourist--other girls get dressed and ask, "Does this make me look fat?"
