Hello all!
So, I've been playing Arma 3 (and playing some missions of the Operation Flashpoint game), and boy, I love interacting with the map. It's a great brain exercise reading the geography and routes of the country, where best to position yourself, while also thinking of the enemy's point of view. Either for myself or in behalf of my squad, I love the vast openness of the game (since Flashpoint) and the map is such a cerebral acessory. I may suck at shooting, but I can read the land!
Thing is, I also like to write things down while playing. Games that require this sort of data gathering, like detective games or hacking games (Hacknet...), even some RPGs(Morrowind comes to mind) thrill me to no end.
So, mixing these two, Silent Hunters, the submarine game comes to mind. But for the latest entry, Silent Hunters 5, there's a ton of negative reviews on Steam, most tell of a bugged, hopeless game.
I ask you then, do you know games where map navigation, prior or during the action, is key?
