I'm moving from Xbox to PS3

Hey all. I know this is a bit of a lame announcement, but i just wanted some insight.

I've got tired of the xbox, so im passing on the flame to my younger bro, he likes all the exclusives i like, gears of war, mass effect etc, but he wanted to get the new xbox, so i guess that works.

i was more attracted to the ps3 cause it has exclusives and little extras i like, for example, i know the xbox has more jrpg exclusives than the ps3, but there are other japanese games on the ps3 which i enjoy more.

anyway, im straying again, this thread was just to get any insights and opinions for the ps3, for example, is there any hidden gems of games which not many people know about but you know about?

this isnt a war debate, both consoles are great, i just want some creative but factual critism.

I recently did the same thing. I sold my 360 and around 8 or so games to my brother, and bought the PS3. The only exclusives I own are Uncharted 2 and LBP, so nothing on the "Hidden Gem" side at all. I will say I much prefer the hardware on the PS3. Using standard usb to charge controllers, regular ole hard drives, everything seems a bit better than xbox on that front.

I do still like the extra polish on the xbox dashboard a lot more than xmb for ps3 though. I love the minimal look on PS3, but only recently was the store updated to include a 5-star rating system, xbox isn't missing this features. Xbox has disc-less netflix as well, but only for a few more weeks.

As for hidden gems, most seem to be japanese-ish which isn't my cup of tea, so I can't help you much there sadly.

My psn tag is the same as my name here though, so if you're looking for someone to play battlefield with or something, send me a frind request.

Also, the horrors of the updates and installs are only slightly exaggerated.

edit: forgot about rachet and clank! I played the crack in time demos, and they were pretty awesome, definitely on my list. Check those out.

LittleBigPlanet is pretty good. I don't any gems besides maybe Scott Pilgrim game.

Anyway, I don't own a PS3, but if I would, I would check out Demon's Souls. Seems pretty interesting.

They'll be re-releasing Ico and Shadow of the Colossus, so, if you didn't play those on the ps2, this is a great way to redeem your ways xD (kidding)

Oh and The Last Guardian (by the creators of the games above) will probably be awesome as well.

Demon's Souls is an awesome exclusive, although I think that's fairly well known by now.

I think you should get Valkyria Chronicles. It's fun and makes you think. Even though the main staregy is "Gather up all units and rush the objective"

You absolutely need to play Disgaea 3, I got a copy for $20 and it was easily worth that, the game is rediculously deep and has a entertaining story to boot! It is full of win!

Littlebig Planet and inFAMOUS. Those are about the only two great (As in really really great) exclusives I managed to find. Both have sequels coming out soon.

Oh and good luck getting used to the controller. I know for the first 20 minutes or so of using it my hands kept drifting 'up' because I was so used to the 360 pads weight.
