Probably because they think it's a good idea when really they're idiots. There are some great new people who settle in well, but they're not the ones posting the inane threads with between 1-50 posts in a few days, after all...

I've seen this video countless times over the years... no matter how many times you see it, it just makes no sense.

I like the idea, I just can't get my head around it.

This concept reminds me of the Asimov Book The End of Eternity. Good book

Anyway the whole concept seems correct if one can provide evidence of an alternate universe. Tunneling to alternate universes also seems to be the Combine's specialty and the whole idea of teleportation sounds like it's built on String Theory.
