Massive hordes are not always a bad thing, however. In Resident Evil 4, they pit you against around 20 Ganados at the same time at one point, but it was fun. The times when it's not fun are like in one of the levels in Ratchet and Clank where you just mash X until everything in the room dies. Don't get me wrong, I love R&C, but that part was just boring. What about your experiences?

I go by the "more the merrier" concept in games. If I can look back on the battlefield to see a hundred plus corpses due to my handiwork, I'll consider it a good day.

Never. I love fighting massive hordes of enemies. They make things exciting, nerve wracking, and allows you to see the brutalized corpses of those you annihilated.

You just get steamrolled by the those damn Mongols....No matter what you do. They will just destroy you.

Absolutely. Well, except in Bullet Hell games.

Probably Resistance 2 with the Grimms. Very Nerveracking but very annoying when they just keep coming out of bins and everything.

Fighting large numbers of melee enemies in oblivion as a melee character sucks. I think three or more is where it gets difficult. No matter how weak their attacks are it just gets to a point where at any time one of them is hitting you, making it impossible to do anything but block.

I like a lot of enemies to stamp on, like spartan total warrior :D
That game is fun. I'm going to have to see if it's backwards capable with the 360.

As for the question; I like hordes of enemy. They--like most people said--let you look back at the mass body count and just feel good about yourself.

Normally, the more little annoying minions I have around me to slaughter the better, but the flying enemies of God of War 1 REALLY got to me. I was just about ready to throw the controller down and was almost screaming in frustration by the end of the fight... and that was normal!

Halo 3 the level where you're inside Gravemind and there's about eighty-thousand flood every two feet! (The big ones mind you, not the stupid little balloon-looking ones) And those ones that cling to the wall and shoot at you are a PAIN IN THE ASS!!!

Prototype comes to mind because the Hunters have what I like to call a '***** move', specifically, it's multi-swipe attack that keeps you from doing anything. And if there's more than one Hunter, God help you . . .
