In which I whine about my luck with overwatch competitive

Yeah, I've done this before with my season 1 woes (started 45, got up to 48, then crashed to 30, got back up to 33), But my season 3 has not started well.

To start, with season 2 I started at 1850, got up to 1894, straight down to 1300, got back up to 1800 before dropping to 1550 before settling around 1650-80.

get started on the season 3 placements, winning five, losing four and drawing one...

Starting rank is 1250.

I've managed to score two wins so far in two days of actual games, balanced with about 8 or so losses. overall, my SR has stayed at 1215 or so, if only because the wins have given me a lot off SR while the losses have only hit me mildly.

Definately feel like i'm on matchmakings s*** list though.

Word on the street is that blizz made changes to the ranking system so less players are in the mid ranks, and there is more a spread towards the lower and upper end of match making. Apparently this results in more fair and balanced matches where progression if you do well is more consistently rewarded! Or something.

That's the word', but from my own anecdotal experience i still feel it's all about luck more then anything:so far my ranked games have been going super well but more because i was lucky enough to be put in a far better team, i actually do very little and my mercy play has mostly been pedestrian, half of the ranked games i played i didn't even USE A SINGLE REZ, because they simply weren't needed. No doubt i'll hit that wall soon again, but yeh so far it feels matchmaking likes me, just like how it apparently utterly despises you and everything you stand for.
