Can be alive or deceased.

I'm going for Leonardo Da Vinci. Not only was he an absolutely amazing artist, but he was a great engineer and anatomist, among other things.

Of all time? Goddamn, that's a tough one.

Um......hm. Da Vinci was pretty fucking cool. So either him or Nikola Tesla.

I don't know why, but those are my picks.

Good choice! :)

My prediction for this thread:

Lots of people saying Jesus.

Someone mentions Hitler.

Huge ass discussion about whether Hitler's actions were impressive or not.

Maybe... Beethoven? He went deaf, yet still made some of the most awesome music

Tesla is cool too

Bill Nye just because...he's Bill Nye. On a serious note Da Vinci because I think he was just an all around genius, nothing held him back.

He had a thousand ideas
You might have heard his name

[small][sup][sup][sup]Of course, I'm technically nominating two people.[/sup][/sup][/sup][/small]

IMO Jesus Christ.
Died for all the sins of mankind out of compassion and forgiveness.

Psh Jesus was nothing compared to Moses, dude parted the seas, climbed a big ass mountain and chatted with god, plus he had a kid when he was 90 way to go gramps.... lets not mention that he almost dabbled in a little child sacrifice later on :D

If you are thinking along the lines of historical significance, probably Marco Polo. His book led to exploration, the colonization of America and other continents, and so on. He practically started the history of the modern world. Also Jesus. His religion causes a lot of wars and was one of the factors for exploration.

Along the lines of moral impact, I would say maybe Lincoln, mainly because I could not think of anybody else. Yet, he was a man who kept cool under pressure and strove to unite the nation. And Jesus, because, you know, dying for our sins and all that.

As for true bad-assery as this thread seems to suggest, I say Theodore "I will fuck you up" Roosevelt. He is a man's man. He got shot in the chest and then gave an hour and a half speech while bleeding in front of thousands of people. He went blind in one eye after getting hit in the head by a world championship boxer he was fighting for FUN. MAN'S MAN!
