Indecision and Left 4 Dead 2

I am behind the times. I never got Left 4 Dead. I actually kind of ignored it. But now there's all the hype for Left 4 Dead 2. I recently played Left 4 Dead and thought it was great. I downloaded the Left 4 Dead 2 demo and I thought it was also great. So now I'm undecided. Do I get Left 4 Dead because I know its awesome, or do I go straight for Left 4 Dead 2 and skip the original? I can't decide.

From what I saw, Left 4 Dead 2 is just an improved version of it's predecessor.
So, I'd go for Left 4 Dead 2.
Unless you're cheap. Then, just get Left 4 Dead for a few dollars once Left 4 Dead 2 comes out.

No need to get the original. There is great gameplay from the first, but it seems from the demo that 2 will have that same gameplay, only better.

Left 4 Dead is the balls. But if having 3 balls is even better, then Left 4 Dead 2 (or what I've played of the demo) is like having 9 balls and molotovs. It's sooo much fun! There's more moves, better locations, new charactesr and *droooools*

Hmm. Toughie.
I haven't played L4D2's demo so I can't really give an opinion but I would get L4D2 if I was in your boots. I played L4D2 non-stop for about a month after I bought it then newer games like F3 and Burnout: Paradise came along to absorb my time. I assume L4D2 will be the same when I get it.
