The good folks over at Gamebox have released Inferno Legend, a game designed to let you play on your PC and mobile device all while keeping you synced. This integration makes it so much easier to take out your anger on humanity as the Devil. You've no doubt played as an anti-hero before, but who wouldn't want the chance to play as the epitome of evil himself? Well Inferno Legend lets you fight alongside Diablo, Mephisto and more demonic characters against the hypocritical Angels, and righteous Humans as they march into Hell. You can leave all of the bodies in your wake with this great in-game exclusive loot from Gamebox. Enter the contest below and you can win a Striking Staff (a staff which, for reasons unknown, you wear as a belt) which (also for reasons unknown) gives you HP Training, boosting your HP more and more as you level up. Not bad for a staff belt, especially considering the riches that come with it! When you enter you will also receive a special Inferno Legend badge for The Escapist forums.

Why are you giving keys to a free game? I don't get it.
Because its for loot, not access. I have no idea how to activate the thing though.
^^This. Where do you input the gift code?

I'm unsure how I'm seeing this. I recall paying a fee to not see banner ads, but somehow it's cluttering up my screen. Is it because it's specifically an escapist partnering with this product or something?

*Looks at the Publisher's Club Benefits* Maybe I'm just not sure how it's not a banner ad. I mean, it is in the shape of a banner, and I'm pretty sure it is to advertise a game called Inferno Legend that I'll never play. The only difference is that it gives an exclusive item for the game. Perhaps I just misunderstand.

What's the catch?

OT: What's the catch? ...Does this mean I actually have to PLAY the game to get the so-called "loot"? And, if I do end up with a code that I probably don't use, does it slowly become inactive the longer I wait to activate it?

...There's a part of me that telling me these questions are mostly answered/implied already and I should just read this quoted statement:

Hey there PubClubbererer!

Giveaways like this aren't generally considered ads because we're trying to hook you up with an opportunity for free things. Further, they take up normal space on the site, not an ad spot. This is actually an internal link to our own page. It says someone else's name because we're giving away their stuff. It's not an ad because all we really want to do is give you some free things. Whoo free (digital) things!

Hope that addresses your concern.

there actually isn't any catch, you get the badge as soon as you press that button

the game's just your typical attempt to make people pay to compete with each other in an arms race deal though, so if you're not into that you can just go back to what you were doing

i would question some of these motives though, because there are other sites also offering these codes, and you can only redeem one of these codes...

Hm... now where have I seen-

Minus the sword that's more or less an exact rip-off. If the gameplay is as derivative as their logo (and I bet it is) then people are in for a spectacularly seen-it-all-before time. (I got myself a code, but couldn't find where to input it so just gave up because this looks quite lame)

Try as I might, I can't find "code" after clicking "event", unless I'm clicking the wrong one. Any more advice on how to put this code in?
