Injustice 2 big rant: the roster got me away from the game

I actually see some potential with Scarecrow. I don't know anything about his in-game abilities at the moment, but I'm picturing a character who can transform and grows more powerful by injecting his fear toxin in his opponent. Since it distorts his opponent's perception of reality, the game could having him shift from a guy in a weird outfit to an actual monster with new moves. That would be pretty cool, especially if it was a multi-stage transformation.

Still, what he'll be capable of from the start is an issue, since as you said, he's not much of a combatant. If anything, this game mechanic would allow them to make him weaker than everyone else at the start of the fight.

Of course we still haven't seen what they actually did do with his character just yet.

Joker was duking it out with Superman in the first one, so its not like there's no precedent. I'm assuming the hand-wave phlebetonium that makes everyone superhuman is still in the setting.

Actually, wasn't the whole plot cause Joker hit Supes with Scarecrows gas in the first place?

I think so? I bet they'll touch on that in the story mode. I am worried though about having a game where there's only dick Superman and no boy scout Supes.

Dick Superman got Zod'd or killed or whatever. Good Superman is the one remaining.

Uh, no, he was imprisoned in a red sun cell. That's kind of why his intro during a fight is ripping off handcuffs. Not to mention there's been a shit ton of dialogue that's already been released that shows he is the Dick Superman.

I had considered that at first regarding Joker. I'd thought Scarecrow wasn't much of a fighter, unlike Joker, who can get his hands dirty when he needs to, but according to Wikipedia, Scarecrow is a master of crane-style kung fu https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scarecrow_(DC_Comics)#Powers_and_abilities. I guess we now know what to expect from his normals. He could be pretty fun.

Yeah, I really gave up on this game. I'm still frustrated because I had such high hopes.
