well i don't install anything else besides google search bar (and shockwave player, but that doesn't count), since that's all i need, and it runs miles faster than say, internet explorer.

Firefox is good for me, and it's really useful in the field of downloading videos off the Escapist without paying for the Publisher's Club.
It also has tons of add-ons, like scrolling down and automatically loading the next page.

EDIT: I have seven add-ons and it runs fine. It takes about 12 seconds to load, but once you're in it's fine.

Flock.

It's like Firefox, all the apps work and stuff, but you can have Facebook, YouTube or stuff like that open even when you don't have it in a tab.

It's really helpful when it decides to work.
What do you mean when it decides to work? For instance dose it crash alot, or just simply not work?

I prefer Chrome to everything else. It's the fastest, sleekest, and best for me.

I love Chrome. It's my favorite windows browser. On mac it's Safari.
I would agree Chrome is one of the best Browsers out there, but ive gotten quite quite bored with it over the past few months and would like a change.

And im using Internet Explorer 8 at the moment and I cant feel it being any slower, It just must be bad for slower computers.

Any addons can be uninstalled, so its not like you are forced to use them. Some users have trouble with FF crashing I've heard, though I've been a loyal FF user for years now and have never had a problem. Plus the addons if anything speed up how I browse, so its a tradeoff it slows down page load times (which I have not found it to do).
If I switched to another browser I would not be able to adjust to not having addons like FastestFox, FlashGot, AddToSearchBar, etc.

I say go FF or go home!

Sometimes it decides not to connect to Facebook, even if you're logged in.

Then, 2 seconds later, it does!
It's a little laggy that way, but otherwise it's fine.
Im not on social networks all that much. And when I am its only for a couple minutes so I dont think Flock is for me sorry.

I use Firefox 3.6. It's fast and multitudes more customizable than Internet Explorer and Google Chrome.

I used to use Chrome, but then I found out Google monitors your search history, and then I was like, "dude...."

And then I switched to Firefox 3 and was like, "Dude!"

We've had this thread a thousand times, it has always ended up being locked after turning into a flamewar. It's ultimately futile though, as Google Chrome is clearly the best.

I'm currently dancing between explorer, firefox, chrome, opera, safari, avant and a new one I just picked up called maxthon.

My favorites thus far are firefox and chrome but in a pinch I'll pull open opera and safari as well. (Don't ask why I'd need seven different windows open, please.) They all seem to work well, avant and maxthon are a bit slower than I'd like in comparison though. The only thing I dislike about opera is that when I open a new tab you're immediately on that page. That's probably a setting default that I'm too lazy to fix.

Edit: in the name of research, I just started to tinker with maxthon a little. Two minutes in, it crashed. Yeah, avoid that one lol.
