The incident has been leaked some time today and they've already tracked him down, found all his personal information and contacted school/police/PETA.Pretty impressive for /b/ a place known as the internet hate machine.

You might want to put some NSFW tags on that. Encyclopedia dramatica on any page is not exactly a clean website.

Yes, this was last night actually. Someone posted videos of them physically abusing a cat, and Anonymous proceeded to find his IP and get his personal information, contacting the local police, ASPCA, and all that.

Could you please summarize the story or provide another link so I don't have to read through that semi-English shit and try to decipher what the fuck they're talking about?

A kid has been torturing his cat and released videos of it. Anon has instantly tracked him down and reported to the police and PETA.

Ah, that's what I thought. I fucking hate Encyclopedia Dramatica. Well in that case, good. Though I think this says more about Anon's love of cats more than kind heartedness. Anyway, it's good news.

I reported this because there was a porn ad on the page, second, the "article" was poorly written, so therefore I would have reported it out of my own obligation to bad writing.

I'm betting that the cat's going to disappear from the face of the earth once it falls into PETA's hands.

Also, what the hell is that website? I got the gist of it, but that text is insanely confusing and loaded with reprehensible internet jargon.

I've never liked "anonymous". But I do admit, they've gotten better since my last brush with them(Raiding a forum I frequented).

Sorry, but I reported this thread. Don't fucking link to that page. It spammed my desktop with thousands of horrible pictures (bleeding dead babies etc.) once after clicking some random link.
Your fault for clicking that random link.

That's like saying you reported a perfectly safe for work page just because you decided to click the add says "Get a bigger penis today!" and got some pretty nasty images.

The guy did say not safe for work. Entirely your fault.
I too clicked the link in question; for those intrested its the underlined word "kawaii" that supposedly links to "ed/kittens" being a ED user I'm "used" to that image collection so as soon as I saw the "ed/painseries" appear in my url bar it got alt+f4'd.

As for the story?
ED edited for accessability/PCness/Escapist standards said:
On Sunday, February 15th, Kenny Glenn posted two videos, both abusing a cat named Dusty. He posted these video under the account glennspam1, which has now been suspended. Various mirrors have been uploaded, each being removed by Youtube. It shows Kenny (under the pseudonym Timmy) and his friend abusing their cat. He wore a balaclava in an attempt to hide his identity.

The users of /b/ tracked him down by the power of Google. They found a link to bargain-bucket video website haitiwow and getting some link on haitiwow that showed his Lawton, Oklahoma zip code. Omega then Googled "glenn lawton" and found his Facebook. More people scoured his Facebook and the video for similarities, and it was found that they were right.

Various info was found, some false, some true. Eventually, 4chan called the kids local police. With the help of the police, 4chan found the legit address. However, another address from Sandi Glenn (mother) working as a web designer was passed on to the police and some argue is the legit one. At this time, more is being found. What's been done? Users phoned his family, the police, and the animal cruelty people and told them all about the video. They also emailed his local school with his name, address and details of the incident
PETA's response said:
Thank you for your compassion in contacting us regarding these

disturbing videos. Rest assured that PETA is working closely with law enforcement officials to determine the exact location of these cats, secure their safety, and ensure that their abusers are prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Please be advised, however, that some unethical people appear to be taking this opportunity to publicly accuse people in several different states, and that law enforcement is already investigating these allegations and has-so far-discovered no hard evidence to link these people to the videos. We strongly encourage you to allow PETA and the authorities to proceed, rather than contacting any alleged abusers directly. If you have first hand information or evidence about these videos, we implore you to contact local law enforcement immediately, as well as letting us know.
