Fellow Australian Gamers, as you may or may not already know, the up-coming Mortal Kombat game is fully banned from Australia, and any attempt at importing the game from overseas will result in a heftyfine.

this ban is largely due to the excesive violence in the game that does not meet the requirements for the current game ratings and the government still have not introduced a R18+ rating for games.

below i have supplied a link for a petition to A)have the ban on the game removed, and B) introduce an R18+ rating to the Australian game ratings

together we can stop this madness, share this link with who ever you can, and lets bring mortal kombat to Australia!

Wow, we don't have a 18+ rating yet? Truly a shocking reveal. In other news, Sky Blue, Water wet.

Seriously though, I think that even if sat the vote it isn't a complete agreement. They're still gonna introduce the rating, since we're getting laughed at for this. Found out about it here: http://www.adelaidenow.com.au/federal-government-to-introduce-r18-rating-for-video-games-despite-state-opposition/story-e6frea6u-1226022453320

The fact that this is still an issue is ridiculous. Sorry Australia, hope that R18+ rolls around quick.

Derp, this won't do anything. Write to your state's AG and tell them. I've already tried this before.

Quit hogging the kangaroo's and you'd have more supporters from overseas! I'll not support anything Australian until i can look outside my window and go "god damn kangaroo's are in the trash cans again!"

Write to the Queen and ask her to have a few stern words with your government, or to just dismiss them completely. Clearly, your politicians have no idea what they're doing, and you'd be better off with a full-blown monarchy.

I am sorry. Last time I signed a petition like this, my email got a never ending flood of political spam asking me to sign more crap.
