3 months ago I was rear ended by a semi at speed. Needless to say I was badly hurt. My GF has decided that I'm a lazy bastard who isn't pulling my weight. She's been talking about me moving out. Is it just me... or is this serious BS?

Girls are evil

Well, if she doesn't want you, why should you want her?

Ruptured disc. Haemoraged muscles + tendons = severe whiplash. I'm a boilermaker, so I haven't been able to work. (pretty pissed about that seperately) Warming up to go back to work I've been workin' at her business free of charge... Still hurts like hell but I'm back to work in a week or two.

Should I be putting up with this?

I hate to sound this way but theres something that a relationship does to some women.

Its like if your asleep while they are awake, it pisses them off. If they are working and you arent, even if your still being compensated, it pisses them off.

Again these are just generalizations based in personal exp. BUT!!! I will say this, if youve got one thats like this... trust me when I tell you it WONT get any better and can only get worse.

A wise man once said "this cannot end well"

Hmmm.

Sadly, it's like a gag I used to tell. "The real problem with relationships is that a man enters with an expectation that the woman won't change, but she does..." and visa versa.

She's never been a soft lady, but fuck.

Oh, been there, done that.

Apparently, I'm supposed to be a "man" about it. Like cos I used to be a soldier and I work a tough job I'm supposed to be immune to this shit.

Idk. maybe shes thinking your being lazy about getting the insurance to pay, or pursuing action or something attitude related. Idk. You should ask her to elaborate, and if she won't even bother to explain & help you try and improve yourself, they shes not worth the time.

All I'm gonna say is "in sickness and in health"

Also ask if her she thinks she could cope and work with injuries like that

Answer to the title question is "yes".

Answer to your actual question is that you should be asking her this question.

Yeah, it'd probably be better if I had.. I dunno, maybe a cast or some crap to make it more visual. I just don't look that badly fucked...

If you respond gently and don't pull a "I'M HURT WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO!" kind of yelling argument, then things might go over better than if you just do that

Ahh. Nope. I did all my yelling in the army. Frankly, it was a chore. Not me, baby. Not my style. I'm the reasonable sort.
