Is anyone else tired of Christmas?

What i mean is that i just saw an article on comcast.net about how a major storm threatens the east coast. great, but it also said how it endangers the last shopping weekend before christmas. WTF!! who cares about shopping that much to be bummed about getting snow on a holiday that revolves around a guy in a sled?! the point is that who else is tired of all the "buy our shit that we only made it look like it was cheaper than it actually was" commercials. and the kids going "mommy! i want a pony for christmas!". i have just gotten sick of all the hype over presents and a guy who breaks into peoples homes and steals their cookies.

I love Christmas. Even if a huge part of it is just running around buying a bunch of junk for little kids. But it makes everyone happy. Honestly, I don't see how you can hate Christmas. Unless you're one of the unlucky bastards that has to work in a toy store.

I've been in a bad mood all week :/ I even tried to punch the Christmas tree over before my mum walked in and asked "What the fuck are you doing?"

Whoops.. But yeah, I'm actually starting to hate Christmas, the carols are annoying and repetitive, people are twice as stressed because of over-crowded shops leading up to this hell-ish event. Plus there's knowing what to buy people, as no matter how much time you spend with your family, you can't always be 100% sure of what they want.

And now, off to continue my bad mood for another week on the run up to Crapmass T__T

I like how it makes people happy, and despite how you complain about the commercalism, it still brings families together, which is good or bad depending on your family.

What I'm more pissed about is how we can't say "Merry Christmas" to anyone anymore.

Seriously, has anyone else noticed the change from 'Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!" to "Happy Holidays!"

It pisses me off to no end.

What I'm trying to say is that Christmas brings families together, sometimes it brings families who haven't seen each other for a long time together, and it makes people happy. So its not all bad.

God yes please let it end soon. Im sick of my best friend counting down. I just want it over. Someone important is coming down to mine for Boxingday dinner to meet most of my family (not my drunken auntie thankgod) so thats the only thing im looking forward to. I can't even be bothered to get the decorations or tree from the loft. Im just too tired with 2009 now. I've celebrated my happiness in my own way, Xmas is for babies or teens whose family acutally still give a damn.

I love Christmas, lots of enjoyment and I am a shameless present whore. I have been forced this year to make gifts, which is also a lot of fun. For me, Christmas actually got better when I stopped being a whiny teen and learned how to have fun again.

That was on black Friday which... yeah ok that could have been part of Christmas hype, you have a point there.
