Is Far Cry 3 worth buying?

Nope. It's the biggest piece of shit I've ever had the pleasure of playing. When I installed it on my computer and tried to start it up, it just showed a big troll face with no way to exit or do anything. When I tried to Control-Alt-Delete, the program set my computer on fire. I would not recommend.
Seriously though, the game looks interesting, but there's no way to decide if something's good until it comes out and people can actually play it. Now, sometimes it's possible to spot a bad game before its released, but I think that's pretty obviously not the case.
If you're asking this to decide if you're preordering or not, don't preorder it. Hell, don't ever preorder games. There's really no benefit for you, the consumer to do so, and all it does is hold video game companies less accountable for the quality of their games.

There's only one thing that will keep me from buying Far Cry 3: respawning checkpoints. That was normal in Far Cry 2, but I think roving gangs would have been better. Random ambushes outside safe houses would have been better. I suspect you enjoyed hunting down the golden guns though.

I must say I keep seeing pictures of this guy...
...in their ad campaign and all over the internet and boy do I find him hot. He is like the villian yes? This game is almost worth buying for this guy alone.
I won't want to buy it if it sucks however. I'll have to see when the game comes out and see what my fav youtubers say.

Its getting some pretty good reviews, so I would say yes. And completely loving the main villain, I hope they do good character development with him .
