is it bad that i am already convinced Bulletstorm is going to be exponentially better than Black Ops

I mean, how sad is it (for BO) that i've spent more time this week (and had way more fun) playing the Bulletstorm demo than any game mode on black ops? does this say more about Bulletstorm or Black Ops?

I've grown ill of CoD hate threads...

Good for you? You like one game better than another? When the only major similarities in the games is that they are FPS games? And they both have some type of "horde" mode.

I'll be spending next week with Killzone 3. Botzone promises good times, as does regular online and the campaign. Hell, the dynamic objectives in the multiplayer should be used in all games. Diversity, without breaking for a lobby or anything.

Good for you. I'm not a huge fan of COD, but I thought bulletstorm was too much like gears. They aren't similar enough to compare anyway.

It says very little about either game, it says that you prefer your shooters over-the-top and ridiculousI assume it is, I've been told it is, but I've never played it and never will, so correct me if I'm wrong. rather than realistic.

Opinions: They exist, and are not all the same.

No it's not. It's about time someone woke up and realized that CoD isn't all it's cracked up to be. The only two I ever liked were the first, and CoD 4.

Since Black Ops came out I have actually seen at least 70% of my friends who are CoD fanboys...stop being CoD fanboys.

It's hold on us is weakening!! Quick run away before you can!

People like CoD because it was good. CoD 1,2,3, Modern Warfare and Modern Warfare 2 were good in my opinion. WaW and BlOps lacked difference.

And to the OP, you can't compare these two games. Yes they are fpss games but one is about our planet and the other is about scoring points and killing monsters as well as people.

If you want to compare CoD, compare it to Battlefield and Medal of Honour.

Well that's your opinion.
It's the same as mine, mostly, but I don't go creating a thread to solely parade my opinion.

Actually, I think bulletstorm is more of a parody of modern FPS games. Like what People can fly (one of the devs co-developing bulletstorm with Epic games[I think its epic games]) did with painkiller was make an FPS that wasn't overly concerned with Faux realism (im sick of people saying that CoD is realistic, honestly, get real [See what I did there? ;D ]) and just was based off of mindless fun

In all, yes, its a different sort of game, but one thats begging you not to take it seriously, whereas CoD these days is the opposite. It claims realism but it has stories that are ridiculous in a True real world scenario. And then it acts all serious as if its going to happen tomorrow. Personally, I find Games like Bulletstorm and Painkiller refreshing and a good break between gritty and "Realistic" games.

You must be new here if this is the first time you've seen a CoD hate thread.

These things are everywhere, and quite frankly, I'm tired of them. CoD has become the next Twilight for me; everyone has an opinion and feels the need to share it, when I would prefer it if everyone just kept their mouth shut.

It's hard to compare them. Black Ops is an online military shooter, while Bulletstorm is a single player with co-op mode, and no versus modes.

for some reason i dislike it more when people hate on a type of thread than the overuse of one =_= .
So what if people have already said they don't like COD before? so what if the two games aren't exactly identical? They're both meant to be entertaining and thats all they need to have in common and the more people that say their opinion then the better IMO (<-- see what i did there?)

OT: I think it shows how all this realism and COD is slowly being let go and people are realising that over the top childish fun can be the BEST fun!
thats why i play zombies more than anything in COD , not for realism but for the exact opposite and thats what i find FUN. (also Bulletstorm and duke nukem will be amongst my favourite games this year)

Two different styles, one trying to be at least quasi-realistic, the other going for over-the-top, brutal arcade gameplay. The other thing I'd point out is CoD being thrown out just about every year now, and spending much less time in development than a one-shot title like Bulletstorm. CoD sells from name power as well as gameplay, Bulletstorm has to make a good impression to break out and sell well.

I pretty much know i'll tire of Bulletstorm quickly. I tried the demo, and it was fun for a bit, but that's all. Black Ops also got boring after a while. It was better then it's predocessor, but I just got tired of it pretty quickly.

It's because Bulletstorm does what we want most shooters to do: help us blow off steam. If you're pissed of, would you rather play CoD or blow people's nuts off with explosive shotguns?

I've also played the demo multiple times. I thought it was awesome.
