The escapist forum community has gone a little stale. For example, there will usually be a few unique and creative threads that offered a lot of discussion value. Feedback was always intelligent and felt mature. Now there seems to be more younger forum goers posting the same threads again and again with little variation. Maybe its just something that needs to be ironed over time or I am just narrow minded.

True but I've noticed the trend around March Madness though.

Is that a common expression that I don't recognize?
Looks to me like a bad typo version of "Is it just me or is"

Is it just more is really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?

Totally the first thing that popped into my head.

Anyway, on topic: I don't know what the fora were like before March Madness, but I haven't seen a lot of immaturity on these boards, as compared to most other boards I've visited. It might be because I tend to participate in threads that better lend themselves to proper conversation (assuming you can dodge all the jerking knees), but there seems to be a pretty grown-up community around here.

OT: Forum communities are always evolving. You can't do anything about it.

Fixed. Posting at twelve is tiresome.

I see quite a lot of people creating threads that have been done before, or just "this is a thing, say something about it and give me that sweet hot topic badge" which really annoy me; but I've been seeing those since I joined.

The only reason they propagate so much is because everyone - even the members who've been here a long time and should know better - consistently post in them. This annoys me even more than the thread creators. How are they gonna know not to do it if everyone keeps encouraging them?

Having said that, the good threads still keep coming, as they always have. If this website is in a downward spiral, I certainly haven't noticed it.

No. You are never the only one. Ever.

OT: I really haven't noticed, but overdone threads aren't going anywhere anytime soon.
