It's the caps that I worry about for you. Did you see what they tried to do in Canada last week? I bet they'll try something like that with you guys next.
We've never had uncapped stuff without paying through the roof, $50 bucks is an average 100-150 gig plan, but in places you can pay 70-90 bucks and be lucky to get 30 gig.

That's poor form. As I said, in the UK we expect uncapped for the monthly price of 8-10 pints of beer! I work from home sometimes and I have to download huge image files. I could fill 30Gb in about 10 days and that's before Steam downloads and Satellite TV library downloads (mmm, Sky Anytime + rules).

Try to shop around. Most likily you can get a better deal.

I used to have a 12gig plan. It was okay if I got everything I could unmetred. Steam kill my internet to many times. Oh TF2 has a 200mb updates? So does Left 4 dead. FUUUUUUUUUUU. I had to choose and sometimes I would be unable to play one for a month or two because It kept happening. For some reason my unmetred server for steam wont work.

Now I have a 50gig on peak and 50gig off peak. It's so good. I don't have to watch my bandwidth be killed for the month. If I get worried I use off peak. I'm normally up and just going to bed when it starts so I start the download and go to bed.

It's funny because the new plan is even cheaper.

People without fast internet, or even worse, no internet are being overlooked. 23% of people in the U.S. still don't have internet access as of 2010. That's quite a few people. And that doesn't even include high speed. Broadband usage in the U.S. is only around 22% as of 2009.

info from http://www.internetworldstats.com/am/us.htm

I had bad internet for 6 years when I lived somewhere that was newly developed and didn't have broadband availability. I know how crappy it is to not be able to get the updates to play games on XBL - let alone DLC. It sucks, but hopefully in ten years or so, it won't be an issue for most people anymore.

Godammit Spain... why does your internet suck so much
Hey! That looks like my dial-up connection from 2 years ago!
I had a PPP connection that was connecting via telephony to Cleveland Ohio.

I'm in CHICAGO.
My first hop was always 200+ miles away, excluding the analog line repeaters (I know this because it's the first place I get an IP address response from that isn't '', which basically means "IM A REPEATER DURR HURR!").

That sucks...

...I know this would push you back even further, but... thanks to all of the restrictions being placed on you willy-nilly... I really think it's about time for you folks to rise up against your government.
Just sayin'.
