Yeah I know I'm WAY behind in the game, but please spare me the time and just give me your feedback/opinion on Killzone 2.

I enjoyed the campaign quite a bit, and the multiplayer is pretty good too. If you've got the money to get it, I'd say go ahead.
And if you wind up hating it, you can send me all your hate mail :p

The campaign is excellent, and the multiplayer is great in theory.

Unfortunately, very few people still play online. And, even if you do play, there's not nearly as much player communication (since PS3's don't come with bundled headsets) as there should be.

I heard the graphics were phenomenal and stunning! Is that true?
It is.

They're not particularly colourful or varied, though. It all looks very real-life like and there's sand everywhere. I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and.... sorry, where was I?

The campaign's alright, the multiplayer's very good, if you like shooters, you should enjoy this one.

Just don't forget to fiddle around with the controls - they're a bit dodgy.

This. If you're familiar with CoD; you're gonna hate these controls. Hell, even MGS4 has superior controls.

Anyway - The campaign is a decent length [perhaps a little too long]. The first handful of missions are amazing, though I feel once you're past the invasion sequence - the story starts to loose it's way and it becomes increasingly apparrent that you as the player are left to do EVERYTHING in order to win the war.

Make no mistake: The guns are very much similar to any WWII game you've ever played [with the exception of green-dot sights and grenade launchers], and the Helghaust aren't too un-like SS Stormtroopers as well :p

Honestly, just wait for Killzone 3. I have the game and I would be lying to say that I didn't enjoy it. But I found dealing with the controls a chore, the story was as band as bland can be, and the characters felt like the C-team to James Cameron's 1987 Aliens (Marcus Fenix from Gears being the B-team). Although one of the characters is so fucking annoying that it's a can't miss, you will just enjoy hating his presence (Rico), he is annoying enough to even give Navi from Ocarina of time a run for her money.

All in all, I still liked the game, but considering how much Guerrilla Games had improved from their first Killzone installment, if they continue this with KZ3, it just might becoming the PS3 powerhouse FPS the console has been waiting for.

I thought the story was too serious, it was too brown, the gameplay felt sluggish movement felt restrained and overall gameplay felt "mishy" also i just absolutly hate the PS3 controller and its dual analog sticks, if you ARE going to buy it, try get that controller that has similar analogs to the Xbox Controller.

Sorry but "Amazing" graphics aren't enough to make a shooter stand out.

Worth buying Yes. Perfect game no. Fun to play and enjoyed the ride. Story meh. Controls loose. If you want better control set the button configuration to Alternative 2. Same controls as CoD once you do that. Online alot of fun. No split screen or co-op. :( The game should be cheap now so it will be worth your money

Don't listen to those saying the controls suck. They're different, not bad. You may love them like I did, you may get used to them after awhile and be indifferent to them or you may never get used to them and hate them but they're not bad in any way. Just different.

That said, I really liked it. Go and get it. :)

Definitely worth it, Best Buy or Kmart is selling it for ten bucks on Black Friday I recommend picking it up then. Set control scheme to Alternate 2 and you are good to go.

Multiplayer is awesome, tied with battlefield for my fav mp this gen.
