Okay, how much are they paying you to advertise their game and are they still taking applications for viral marketers?

I hope it does well, for both the dev's and THQ's sake.

Literally just decided to relay Metro 2033 again, only to find that all my saves and the DLC were corrupt. >.<

Looking forward to Last Light.

Metro 2033 seemed pretty cool, something like STALKER, and those images look a bit killzone'y too. If it wants to be a timeless shooter it will need a genuine story, a good protagonist, tight controls, a total lack of stupid gameplay gimmicks and iconic enemies. can't tell much from those screenshots, but the characters all look pretty similar...
From what I remember, for Last Light, they also need to make sure the human AIs are slightly smarter than in the original (BTW, did they patch the AI or something? Or are the AIs still kinda stupid?)

Determining from your previous posts, I can really tell you really like First Person Shooters, don't cha, boy?

OT: Eh, looks alright. Didn't play the first one, probably won't play this one.

And "best atmosphere in history"? If it can top Fallout 3 I will take your word for it.

So they have pretty graphics.

...And?

People need to stop losing their minds over the graphics devs see as more important than everything else. You'll only encourage them.

Eh.....its a sequel to an amazing game don't get me wrong, but unless they can expand on the first game in a significant way it will just be another amazing but similar fps. I don't think it can reach that status of one of the greatest fps EVER.

Games like Dishonored and Bioshock Infinite on the other hand......

You played Metro 2033? By that statement I don't think you have.

As much as I loved Fallout 3 and NV, their sound design was lacking and as a result it hardly had any atmosphere. In fact, 9 times out of 10 people were blasting music from one of the radio stations, completely covering all ambient sounds.

Come to think of it, did the game have ANY ambient background noises?

:/

Lots of games top Fallout 3. Hell, most games top Fallout 3. Atmosphere is not something Bethesda has ever done terribly well.

Anyway, I still have yet to get my hands on Metro 2033 (though not for lack of trying.)

Why yes, yes it did. I often had to turn my radio off so is not to alert nearby enemies, and then that dynamic battle music would play. The game had a lot of ambient noises, like creaking metal, wind rustling, and more.

I can agree that Bethesda doesn't put much atmosphere into their games (Skyrim is probably one of the biggest offenders), but I thought F3 was their best trek into the territory.

I know what it's liked to be hyped, even though I haven't been in awhile. However, stop over-hyping it. It's meant to be really bloody difficult to make a game that can be called the greatest, not something these bland screen shots can accomplish. Bloody hell, it looks like most other games I've seen lately.

Plus, the only time you can judge the atomsphere is once you're in there.

You can't really relay on stills to rely info about a game, and I didn't play 2033, so for the moment, I'm fairly uninterested.
