Is there a way to break up two simlings in the Sims 3 (console)?

My Sim lingo is a bit rusty, so allow to me to explain that by "simlings" I mean the sims that are controlled by the game.

Anyway, I want my sim to get together with his boss but shes in a relationship already (I don't think it's marriage, but I could be wrong). I thought that maybe inviting the two over and then using the epic fail karma power on her partner might help, but I wanted to get the escapists professional advice first .

Thoughts? Suggestions? Questions?

I barely play TS3 but I frequently play TS2.
You could always just get caught cheating or you could take the dick route and argue with them,fight or just cheat by using "testingcheats enabled" and dragging down both of their friendship bars.
